Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the April 2021 lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers, which will be available from April 6 to May 3.

The lineup is as follows:

PlayStation 5

  • Oddworld: Soulstorm (Oddworld Inhabitants) – Oddworld's Abe returns in this action adventure platformer set directly after the events of 2014's Oddworld: New 'N' Tasty. Having undergone a transformation from clueless cog in a mega-corporate machine to unlikely hero and beacon of hope, Abe must now save his fellow Mudokons by any means necessary. As you recruit more followers, stick to stealth and puzzle solve to survive or scavenge goods and craft an arsenal to liberate your friends. In Oddworld: Soulstorm, you will begin to understand the power of many will be needed to solve problems that the individual alone cannot.

  • Days Gone (Sony Interactive Entertainment) – Ride into a desperate, dog-eat-dog open world of the Pacific Northwest as drifter and bounty hunter, Deacon St. John. We should do an OT for this, it's a monthly news drop.

Fucking weak ass shit putting Days Gone in there. I'll try the other zombie game I guess. Not too into modern Oddworld.

Zombie Army is fun if you got people to play with

Having just One PS5 game each month is lame as hell. I know there's not much out there, but even just an extra crossgen indie title would at least give the impression the service wasn't losing value as time goes by.

Damn I have Days Gone but ODdworld and Zombie Army? Cool. I've always wanted to try both of those titles but didn't wanna drop the $.
 
It sounds like this Oddworld is a sequel to the remake. I didn't play it but I watched a video by matthewmatosis comparing features of the game design in the original & the remake, and the remake just has some baffling decisions.

My knee jerk is that a new thread would be preferred each time. OTs can be updated, but it requires the dual efforts of a moderator and a specific member. It's just easier for some random person to see the news and post it, as well as having a fresh thread to post in.

I mean anyone could post in an OT with the new drops, but yeah either way works tbh
 
Oddworld is a nice get, even if it's clearly not going to be for everyone. It's exactly the kind of game I'd be intrigued in, but spending money on it would be like, 'Uhh...'.

Well, I meant updating the title and first post. Sorry. This has been a surprisingly hard thing to get out of my head and into word form, lol.

But yeah, we don't want this stuff to get lost in some random page of an OT, where nobody will be able to see.

They already have Days Gone out to anyone with a PS5. Odd world is nice though.
 
I wanted Zombie Army 4. I loved Trilogy. Down for some oddworld as well. I didn't much like days gone. Dropped that one.
 
I'll download Zombie Army, but like most plus games now ill play a few times and it will just sit in my hardrive forever more, getting older with a family sucks for gaming :p
