The only table I'm playing frequently is Darth Vader, but I have quite a good score there

Good thing I don't own that table on Steam, otherwise I'd get obsessed about beating the score šŸ˜†

Bought a bunch of tables from a key selling site for 10 bucks overall. And guess what table was there as well ... Darth Vader :D

That said, I'm seeing @BFNoise went back to the Doom table, having a 70mil score while my best sits at 77mil. Damn seems like he did get motivated by my little dig at him lol.

Edit:

Where's your god now.

@regawdless yeah, I felt motivated and spent an hour in the Doom table, but with no much luck. Darth Vader though... I'm seriously offended!

P.S. I hate pinball! Almost broke my controller yesterday in rage.

edit: do you play Doom table in Nightmare?

Yeah I play on nightmare but tbh I don't even know what the difference is, simply chose it by default lol

Nightmare gives more points, but disables ball saving features. I play on Nightmare too, fuck ball saving.
Will try to improve my result in Darth Vader today, it's not over yet.

On how I managed to get such a score on Darth Vader:

What I figured out was that in certain scenarios, doing the loops with the small flippers on the upper part of the table can give ridiculous amounts of points if repeated. Like 7mil for one shot, than 6.5mil for the next, getting lower and lower, bus still flooding me with points.

Yeah I've got it several times, you have to complete a mission or something for this.
Usually, when it starts, the fucking ball immediately finds a way between the pads.

Damn you mean business, coming closer and closer to my record on Darth Vader. You nearly doubled your old high score, nice work!

I used to battle it out for high scores with a random person online for Super Stardust HD. I miss that shit!

I'd join in on your Vader table, but I'd sure hate to make you both feel bad overnight.

I think Doom is the superior table though.

Man, you are good!
I played for an hour yesterday, but it was not my day, constantly loosing the ball just after several minutes of play.

Thanks! Unlocked everything on that table yesterday in a two hour session. Full star challenges etc.

Have to say I don't like the table that much tbh. It has great atmosphere and visual design, Darth Vader of course is iconic. But gameplay wise, didn't grab me. 75% of the time, I just did the upper loop over and over and over again. I could hit it 20 and more times in a row, getting hundreds of thousands of points every 5 seconds or so. It kinda breaks the table because it's a fail safe and easy way to get points. Then starting a mission from time to time. The Tie Fighter flying mini game was pretty bad.

Agree, the upper loop is breaking the game, I don't use it much. Nonetheless, I like the table because of Imperial March and Star Wars quotes.

The Doom Table is pretty hard. I'm now avoiding Nightmare, because the kickbacks are too valuable on that table. Still couldn't beat my current high score. At least got 15 Stars on the one ball challenge.

Nice, just bought Aliens vs Pinball and the Sci-Fi Pack for Pinball FX3 cheap on Humble Bundle.

3,99

and 2,99

All those moving parts and stuff, it'll be a BITCH to mantain tbh. Stuff will break over time.
Years back some guy on Twitch was taking apart an Adam's Family pinball machine with the intention of cleaning and restoring every part and putting it all back together.

I don't think he ever got past the taking it apart and cleaning some of it phase :ROFLMAO:

Depending on the table, it can be a real challenge tbh.

It was fucking crazy. He was cataloging all the parts to keep track of it. It must have just become a way more massive project than he had anticipated. I was enjoying watching it so I was bummed when he went back to playing videogames lol

He bought these sonicators and shit to do the cleaning of the metal pieces and was scrubbing groups of wires clean and shit. But it became like an entire room full of loose parts.

lol this was such a random memory to have pop up but I found it
