I loved the single player games as a kid so very much.

The original PSO was great too.

This 'New Genesis' looks like a return to form. PSO2 just looked like a typical 'arena' with little-to-no exploration.

I never understood this genre that's big in Japanese games that are essentially 'arena' boss fights and nothing much more, kind of like the original Toukiden.

But this looks like it has an overworld and exploration. Hopefully there are "dungeons" as well. Because at some point I may want to play this.

It was amazing how this was announced and shown along with Halo Infinite but how much better it looked than Infinite.

Looking forward to seeing more of this game.

Me for the first time. Don't know if I have to play PSO2 in general to be able to play this or not
PSO2 Characters are transferable over to PSO2NG and they can be transferred seemlessley, they didn't want to affect the current market who have invested so much into their new characters.

How similar or different is the overall concept of PSO2 to the 1st game?

I remember pouring hours into PSO1 on the OG Xbox back when Xbox Live was a marvelous new thing.

How much you know about this game? Are there going to be "dungeons" to explore?
Not so much honestly.

Yes I know about that. My question is: Will I be able to hop it straight to new genesis or do I have to play the original content first?

Bumping this because launch is a few hours away.

Wish I could play this.

So how is it?

I watched one video where this dude was just trashing it.

Really depressing how they'll never go back to a single player Phantasy Star.

Space opera JRPGs are almost non-existent. Star Ocean was ruined and I guess there's only Xenogears/Xenoblade.

Rogue Galaxy was the closest we ever got to a Japanese Star Wars and that was one and done.

I miss single player Phantasy Star.
