God damn it the little fella is just so cute.
What are you doing against his priviledged toxic white masculinity though?

I'm strongly encouraging it.What are you doing against his priviledged toxic white masculinity though?
That's pretty exciting. Going to proper school is a big step and one to enjoy. Agree on wanting them to be independent. Wife's family are a bit too helicoptery tbh - she and her brother are both trust fund kids with a lack of resilience, her brother especially has a complete lack of get up and go. That's definitely a worry given we have the resources to look after our kid(s) well but the risk of spoiling and turning them into useless lumps is a worry.Tomorrow will be the last day of kindergarten for our oldest one, then she'll go to school in August. My wife can't let go, is nervous and scared. Can't deal with the little baby growing up.
It's pretty ridiculous. I'm like.... can't be fast enough. Finish school, earn money and gtfo lol. I love my kids but my goal is to make them independend and NOT needing us.
My kids constantly come in while shitting. Tell stories and when I'm going to get off to come do that thing they are doing. It never ends. I don't mind though as I will miss it when they are older.Still can't get a moment's peace to have a shit. Seriously. Why on earth can't she figure out the basic fact that if I'm in the bathroom with the door closed that means I don't want a conversation? In what fucking world does anyone lack that basic fucking social skill? I can't shit in peace, I'm not getting laid and can't do anything about THAT in peace either. Honestly I'm about to start busting heads if this shit continues.
It is precisely that, but sadly telling a mad person that they're mad tends to fall down because when you're mad you don't realise you're mad. I did get a cleaner, but that is still insufficient to satisfy her madness.@HariSeldon Hey man, I just had a peak at the last few pages and mentioned it to my wife. She said it sounds like yours might have some Post Partum Depression. Have you looked into that? Pardon if you have. But it's more common than people think and a lot of women don't even realize they have it. It can manifest as anger, depression and especially mood swings. This is a hormonal imbalance from the pregnancy so it really might be that she just hasn't fully recovered yet, which can take months. Some women find that some sort of outside help, like post partum doulas, mothers aid or even a maid (depending on work load) help a lot. I know your doing a lot and it seems like that should be enough but a new baby is a major life transition and it helps the parents to have all the support they can get, especially when having one with our modern day, cookie cutter, schedules and lifestyles.
I'd mind less if it was a kid doing it but she's 32 years old. She should know better for fuck's sake.My kids constantly come in while shitting. Tell stories and when I'm going to get off to come do that thing they are doing. It never ends. I don't mind though as I will miss it when they are older.

Just let her come in and breathe in your full stench dude when you drop a duce. She'll soon figure it out and leave you be. When she sees you're having a crap, she'll realise now is not the time. She's obviously not thinking straight at present, so expecting reason isn't going to work.
There have been more tears today, of course there have. I'm tired. I knew I would be tired by parenthood, but honestly I expected the baby to be the main cause. That has not been the case (indeed the baby is quite polite and allows us 7-8 hours of sleep per night).
Not really an option tbh - they're not my biggest fans.Maybe worth reaching out to the wider family to assist as a suggestion mate.
That is great man. Being a dad is a truly amazing thing. Cute kid.I'm a motherfucking father!
My wife gave birth on the 27th of May to our beautiful son Sean. My wife had to have an emergency c-section because Sean's heart rate suddenly dropped during a CTG scan. Being in the operating room and watching my wife undergo a c-section was quite an experience. Seeing my son being pulled out of my wife's belly, half in half out, is something I'll never forget. Sean was 4 weeks premature, but he is doing really well. We saw the pediatrician yesterday and he said Sean is perfectly healthy.

Damn sorry to hear that. Hope for speedy recoveries. We just can't catch a break.
There's this weird illness going around everywhere where the kids just have fever on and off for like a week, without other symptoms.
Our oldest daughter had it, then directly afterwards her little sister, then the other sister, now our oldest daughter has it again. It's the third consecutive week of at least one kid being sick.
Damn sorry to hear that. Hope for speedy recoveries.
Yeah he must have got the good looks from my wife 'cause he sure as hell didn't get them from me lol. And no, I'm way too manly to cry (unless I stub my toe).Congratulations, welcome to the club. She's doing well. She had a quick recovery from the c-section.That's amazing, congrats to you and your wife! Prepare for a wild and life changing ride. Glad to hear he's fine. How's your wife holding up?
Got a baby girl on the way! Due mid-October and super excited!
Only thing that got me nervous is the reduced income from my wife maternity leave which normally would be perfectly fine but energy prices (and general inflation) in the UK are set to become absolutely insane. We'll manage I'm sure![]()
I swear my wife fakes not hearing kids at night.
