Wow. As someone who found dead space to be a giant bore, that actually looked really good. I wonder if it being third person completely ruined it for me. Normally I don't care, love both types of games, but that first person look just gave the game the connected feeling it needed that I felt it badly lacked.

Still a damn good looking game. I don't know if I'd be able to handle playing in first person for very long. That looks intense.

Funnily enough, someone else did an entire third person playthrough of Doom 3:


And yeah, the two games are very similar. I enjoyed Dead Space precisely because I love Doom 3 and Dead Space was basically third person Doom 3.

Huh, I think that proved my theory, somehow third person view completely destroys the atmosphere of Doom 3. Guess I really do dislike third person games, or at least horror games. (I also dislike RE4 now that I think about it..). But I love Witcher 3. *shrugs*
