Anyone else plan on playing this?

I loved Automata, but never played the original game, so I'm really looking forward to getting into this remastered version tomorrow or sometime this weekend.

If you're on PC, you can get it for around 20% off and no sales tax right now over at GMG.

I need to know if there are differences for PS4 Pro and if its' better on PC. I want my comparisons so I know what to buy it on.

Beat grandpa Nier and loved it when it was released. Ready for another playthrough.

I'm about to get out of bed and start the download. Purposefully stayed in a media blackout on this ever since playing Automata because I want the same experience I got playing it for the first time.

Nope. I don't like the new visual style and I don't want to play as the kid so I'll stick with the xbox360 version.

This is my most anticipated game this year. I am waiting for UPS to drop off my White Snow edition today.

I want to buy it so badly but just yesterday I purchased used demons souls for ps5 and I am out of cash atm -_- (not really but don't want to spend that much on videogames tho)

I played it years ago on PS3 so I'll likely pick this up after I (finally) finish Automata. It's one of those games where the mood and the OST help to overcome some obvious technical and pacing problems, so I guess if you smooth out those technical problems but leave behind the good parts, it should be an even better game (??)

I dunno, I think the jank, shorter view distance and lots of bloom added to the dreamlike atmosphere of the game, much like the fog in Silent Hill.

Silent Hill is a good comparison, for better or worse. In my mind, I'd put Nier there with the PS2 versions of Ico and shadow of the Colossus. Tremendous technical shortfalls, but the ambition was bleeding through the screen so you didn't care.

I have played the first hour or so. It's what I wanted exactly. An updated version of the PS3 game for PS4. The combat is a lot smoother and the graphics are nice. The only thing I hope they may be able to add is a resolution boost for PS5.

Only been able to put in about an hour on PC, but I quite like it. Great atmosphere and the combat is quite fun.

The technical side of things is rather unfortunate, though. Can't hold 60 fps at 4K with an i9 10900 and RTX 3080. If I lower the resolution, the actual area of the screen shrinks and doesn't fill the monitor. Bleh, at least there's no screen tearing and it hangs in the mid-to-high 50s for the most part.

Another bad console port. Nothing surprising here

But its way better than Automata for sure. Playing on 1440p getting 80-90fps
