NEO: The World Ends With You is a sequel to The World Ends With You The Animation set three years later, director Tatsuya Kando said during a brief appearance on the “It’s a Wonderful Special” The World Ends With You The Animation pre-air special today.

While further details were not shared during the program, producer Tetsuya Nomura tweeted earlier today that more information will arrive on April 9, a few hours before the first episode of the anime airs at 15:00 JST.
