Thread: More layoffs at Deck Nine Games (Life is Strange)
I always felt like this studio (and Life is Strange by extension) was propped up by the ideological pushers. Felt like a C tier series pushed up because it fostered an agenda, and the gaming media loves to lionize that type of product and company. I think companies have misjudged a crucial element of human nature: indifference. Trans and gay shit used to get attention because the purveyors of it flapped their arms around and made such a racket that people paid attention. But that shtick has been going on now for decades, and people just really don't give a fuck or believe the lie that these groups are maligned or in danger -- in fact, quite the opposite. They are often artificially elevated, always protected, and are in many ways as oppressive as the people they claim to be fighting against.

They are way too focused on MoDeRn AuDiEnCeS. At least it seems like they made what they wanted to make.

The first game was pretty good, one of the better examples of the genre IMO.

I loved it. I got to the part where the mousey chick changed the past and it was revealed doing so left the annoying emo girl in a wheelchair, had a good laugh and turned it off.

Never touched it again since. I was completely satisfied with that as my ending. 10/10.
