Here are mine

Paper towels

A hand held vacuum cleaner

Nice tasting medicine for the kids

A wall mounted magnetic knife holder

Heated bathroom floor

Large rain shower head

Coffee to keep me awake 🐻💘:coffee:

A Formed Sleep Mask to help me sleep. I live in the City and the evening light pollution is so bad it's been years since I've even seen the stars at night. I read a book about getting a good nights sleep a few years back, and Formed Sleep Masks came up a great way to reduce the impact of blue light and I've been an advocate ever since (not into the idea of Blackout Curtains as they tend to have to be quite heavy).

Air conditioning and heating come to mind. Not strictly necessary, but I always try to appreciate how leisurely things feel, as compared to centuries back when you just kind of had to tank through a hard winter, or boiling Summer days.

I remember sweltering through some 45 C days without air con back when I was a wee lad. That's 113 in freedom units.

OP you have all that in Latvia?

Yes and its a double luxury here because the prices are almost the same as in the UK for example despite the income averages being much much lower here.

Just one of the many ways we get fucked over. We have friends in Ireland and when we recently bought the kids tablets we checked the prices there vs here to see which was cheaper and see if it was worth buying there and sending here (for kids wipes and scented diaper bags it was actually cheaper to buy in bulk there and ship here, there is a small company that drives between Ireland and Latvia taking packages between, a large box is 30 euro)

all below according to a quick google search

Samsung galaxy tab 8 2019
Latvia
159 euro
Estonia
139 euro (on sale usually 149)
Lithuania
159 euro
Ireland
169 euro

Average salary Latvia
850 euros a month

Minimum wage Ireland
1452 euro a month

Minimum wage Latvia
430 euro a month
