Real Superstars will only play with the classic bonus stars! Nine bonus stars indeed, that is at least double of the amount of stars during the actual game. SMH Nintendo, how are friendships supposed to be destroyed by backstabbing if the bonus stars help create a fairer playing field?

When you select Bonus (On) it selects two of those nine possible Bonus Stars (or three if you play 30 Turns) at complete random at the end of the game. It's a lot of fun. Bonus (On) is essentially Random Bonus and it creates a game in which the players have to be more selective and strategic
Haven't played Mario Party since N64. So this one is basically a greatest hits version?
Pretty much, Mario Party Superstars is like a remake of the original three N64 Mario Party games celebrating and paying homage to the original Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party 3. All the boards are N64 boards while the items and minigames are from across the series; Mario Party all the way to Mario Party 10 and even Super Mario Party in some instances (mainly the Bonus Stars and a few items)

Here's The Ideas For DLC Boards For Mario Party Superstars

Mario Party 1:
Mario's Rainbow Castle
Luigi's Engine Room
Wario's Battle Canyon
D.K.'s Jungle Adventure

Mario Party 2:
Pirate Land
Western Land
Mystery Land
Bowser Land

Mario Party 3:
Chilly Waters
Spiny Desert
Deep Sea Blooper

Mario's Rainbow Castle (MP)
Pirate Land (MP2)
Western Land (MP2)
Chilly Waters (MP3)
Spiny Desert (MP3)

If those boards came to Mario Party Superstars via DLC I would be on Cloud 9

Great OT!

Best Mario party game since one.

Loved the first one. Played another one on GameCube and Mario party 8 or whatever it was on switch (the one before superstars) and that one was utter horseshit.

Are DLC boards already confirmed?

@Eneru DLC isn't confirmed but when I look at the boards list at the Data House the page is only like a little bit less than half way filled, while the other pages are full and have enough content to scroll down to see. That's one of of a few reasons I believe DLC is on the way. Another reason is due to Nintendo Switch only being half way through its life cycle according to Doug Bowser. Mario Party Superstars will be here for a few strong years. At least three or four since it's so amazing. DLC is inevitable the way I see it

If more minigames are added then remakes of these would be fun

Bob-omb Barrage
Filet Relay
Eye Sore
Locked Out
Triple Jump
Defuse or Lose
Astro-Logical
Heat Stroke
Platform Peril
Rain of Fire

Anticipating boards, stickers, music, and potentially characters but I think the minigames are set. Usually these Mario Party games have around 65-85 minigames or so but MPS has 100 already. I would love to see about 10-15 more minigames though

I don't know if they are online multiplayer or not, but that would be crazy. NintendoPad would fall apart after RNG star chests turn the tables.
It'll be interesting to see how well the online works for these games, assuming there is online for it that wont disrupt the game completely like Super Mario Party and its constant "Communication Error"

If they run like Mario Party Superstars does online then that'll be good enough for me. And if NintendoPad ever wants to run games I'd be up for it. I'm a freakin' dog when it comes to MP2. Back in the day I must've played like 150+ games of MP2

I can't remember, are their teams on the early Mario Party games? If so I'll be on your team.

The online will run more like Super Mario Party instead of Superstars. I'm not an expert but the way I see how Superstars handles it is that during the board sections connections between players is set to the bare minimum since it's not necessary to be fully connected so you don't get any disconnects or lag while playing on the board, Super Mario Party had full connection between players at all times likely because it was not initially intended to have online board play, the old Mario Parity's along with any other NSO game will have players be fully connected, so their is chance of lag and disconnects during board play, the issue with Super Mario Party's online though was that you couldn't save progress at all, so if a DC happened you'd have to start a new game. Thats not much of an issue for the old games since they have a save setting.

@Mickmrly it was Mario Party 4 that first added teams in Party Mode. We would have to add up all the coins and stars up at the end to decide who wins if we went teams in Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party 3. I'd guess that the lack of teams can make for more interesting games though; more planning involved and you still have the sovereignty to do as you please as an individual player with your items and coins and all

Okay then, free for all it is then. If only we could have someone stream a game or something to make it more memorable. @Dacon do you do Nintendo games?

We can do free for all or teams, I'd be up for either gametype. I should have worded my last post better, I meant to say that since there are no team options and we'd have to add up the stars and coins at the end, that the entire game would play out in a more interesting way when playing 2v2. Since there aren't any modes that allow teams, you can't pick from the items you have in total as a team or use the coins you collected as a team since it's technically 1v1v1v1 still, but you're playing purely with the intent of 2v2

It would require a lot more communication and strategy to make the correct moves if playing 2v2 on MP, MP2, and especially MP3. For instance, since the items and coins earned aren't pooled together for each team, two players on a team could target the weaker player on the opposing team exclusively and practically make that player a non-factor if they decided that is best. You could double team the player that is in a better position to gain a star or get to Boo to steal a star too. Even though there are no options for teams in the N64 Mario Party games, that actually makes the prospect of playing 2v2 way more interesting imo. Especially in Mario Party 3, when it releases. That game is chaotic enough when fending for yourself. Add to the game another player to look after as your own, on the same team? That makes it even better. The dynamic of the game changes dramatically when you add another ally to fend for and team up with. And specifically targeting two opponents instead of worrying about three opponents in all is another interesting prospect

Naw not really. I looked into using an emulator for Breath of the Wild once but got distracted by other stuff.

I think what should happen is everyone team up against the best player and try to win that way. Thats the strategy that really levels the playing field. Unless everyone teams up against the weaker player instead and then who knows what will happen.
