Interview with the developers of Metal Gear Acid, released for PSP in 2004.

Never played this game or its sequel since I didn't own a PSP and it wasn't ported to PS2, but I liked the art by Tsubasa Masao (who also created art for Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner and the 'Guy Savage' minigame in MGS3: Snake Eater) and the turn-based collectible card gameplay looked interesting. Does anyone here remember playing it? It's definitely one of the lesser-known Metal Gear games, compared to other handheld entries like Peace Walker.

I forgot this existed. It never appealed to me, but there might be someone somewhere that had it. Maybe.

I love the games. I love the concept of mixing turn-based strategy with card collection. The second game even came with a rudimentary 3D glasses. The story isn't that exciting but the game is just so much fun to play.

Love the Ac!d games! They were unique and stylish (especially 2) and had a colorful cast of characters that were reminiscent of MGS1-3 something that mainline MGS at the time were lacking, especially the villains which were memorable and had some great interactions with Sanke and Teliko/Venus, also i quite like the alternate version of Snake which has no connection to mainline Snake.

Ah Metal Gear Ac!d, the Metal Gear equivalent of the Megaman Battle Network series. Didn't spend a lot of time with the first one, maybe I should revisit it. Can't unsee the floating Xbox icon though.
