Elden Ring had rather inconsistent performance on PS5, some people chose running the PS4 version on PS5. Resulting in a better and more stable experience. The same applies here again for Armored Core 6. The game generally runs good on PS5, but there are more or less frequent drops. Using PS4 version on PS5 gives you 1800p with a completely locked 60fps.

Famous PS5 modder Lance McDonald took a look at it and found out that FROMs PS5 executables have no compiler optimizations at all, which is rather curious.



 
I have no idea wtf is wrong with FROM. They keep having more or less serious tech issues. Made a ton of money with their games, it's not like they couldn't hire some people who know how to do that shit.

I mean AC6 is by no means a trainwreck or anything, it's solid overall. But it could be much better visually. I guess you can't have it all. Given the simple visuals (on a tech level), the game should easily run at a locked 60 on consoles. Just do a good dynamic res scaling or something, it's not that hard.
 
The fact that From have maintained both their exceptional gameplay, eorld and narrative design over the years, but also their shocking lack of technical finesse, at least speaks of their having maintained their core staff and not followed the route do many other studios sadly do, to wit expand too fast, alienate their older employees, who then quite, and are replaced by woke cultists who want to 'fix' the way the studio was succeeding in the 'wrong way'.

But yeah, seriously, they need to at least ask Playstation, Xbox and Valve for some optimisation assistance, which I'm sure they'd bend over backwards to provide, because this is getting ridiculous.
