OK, only two side quests left, but I'm not really interested in them.

I think I may have done too much side stuff. 'Bout to roll up to the wedding looking like this.

You ain't getting in with that armour Zef.

Kingdom Come has some of the best music I've heard in a game in a LONG time.

Yeah it is pretty phenomenal.

Albeit I got to the Castle. I parked that save file and started a new one, as I wanted to try a few things out differently. I played through the opening again and the whole way it is set up to when the opening credits roll as Hans and Henry approach the castle for the first time really is top tier.

Not entirely convinced about Twitch drops myself as a principle versus just using ingame loot ( although I've gotten all the ones for KCD so far). However, for those who care, there is another one happening now.

Ok I had to pause the video here to post this message, even though I'm almost 100% certain there's no need.

Warhorse, don't listen to this Puff muppet on IconEra. You don't need Sony ok? For the love of God don't let Sony buy Warhorse.

Found this from a thread on Reddit, but it's a great recipe to follow to brew health potions (Marigold Decoctions) on the quick without even needing to use the hourglass.

I timed following the recipe exactly as it appears in the book as well as well as my own sequence and achieved the following times on average (timer was started from when I pressed to interact with the water, I have the nettle and marigold already sitting on the shelf):
Following recipe exactly: 1m 20s
Following my own sequence: 1m 0s

My Henry's Marigold Decoction recipe:

Note: This process requires interacting with each item as soon as you are able to, which means already looking at the next thing you need to interact with while Henry is doing the last thing you told him.

Second note: There is no need to interact with the sandglass while following this recipe, if you follow it exactly your actions will take almost exactly 23 seconds (each sandglass turn is 10s and it takes 3s for the water to come to a boil once the cauldron is lowered)

1 - Have the Nettle and Marigold already on the shelf

2 - Click on the water, then add the Nettle

3 - Lower the cauldron

4 - Add 2 x Marigold to the mortar, then interact with the pestle

5 - Empty the contents of the pestle into the dish

6 - Raise the cauldron

7 - Empty the dish into the cauldron

8 - Click on the phial and then the cauldron

Good luck my fellow alchemists and may you never turn another sandglass again.

This is exactly how I want to be but keep bitching about non important shit. I finally broke down and just did shady shit to complete the quest to get the steel to make the sword for the wedding.

My biggest fear is a time constraint....can I just do all the shit I want and come back to this or does time/days matter?

Time definitely seems to matter for some quests, but probably not most. Seems like if they don't ask for you to be somewhere at a specific time or to do something within a certain amount of time, you should be fine.

The wedding won't happen until either of the second part of the two access missions is done (Miller and Blacksmith), and even then you need to initiate them. Nothing is stopping you from doing all the available side content before going to the wedding.

As I said earlier in the thread, based on my own experience, you need to wear a smart get-up, so don't worry about armour etc. Just wear your best Charisma-based gear, and go early. As soon as you initiate the 'go to wedding quest' you get transported there. So no bandits and whatnot to worry about.

Much like the Wedding in The Witcher 3, it is all self-contained.

I finally managed to beat this dice lady at dice, she always managed to ruin me. But not this time...

I'm 30hrs into it, and although I have other quests to do and things to check out, I think it's time to move the wedding quest forward. I want inside that castle dammit.

Is the game as long as the previous one? Or longer?

According to how long to beat

However, I'd say in reality more than 170 hours if you go completionist. There is so much side content and stuff to uncover throughout why rush versus just enjoy it?

Finally did the wedding. Went with the miller, but it seems like it probably doesn't matter much. A lot more content to it than I expected. I loved it as well as how it ended.

35 hours in now...

Cool little video came up in my YouTube feed of some hidden treasures just around the Troskowitz.

it pays to poke around the outskirts it seems. A couple I knew about as a result of quests, but some of them are definitely.

I bet there's a tonne more out there. I found a burnt-out camp yesterday to the south of the Tachov, not far from the waterfall-washing point I discovered the other day, which had a few bit's a pieces. All good stuff for a restart.

Yeah, it's really good. It definitely pays to do a lot of the sidequests as that can feed into things, and I love the mix of the personalities and how things go down.

Finally made some quality progression yesterday, I killed a dog/thief and got armor, I paid back the old maid who helps you in the beginning, I beat Tomcat to get the Masterstrike attack and I've made shit tons of health pots and have a couple hundo in my pocket.

Next on my list is to find that goddamn dog!

34hrs in and for real this time I'm going to the wedding ok. Got the perfume and the dress for the whore, let's do this. So much content already, makes me wonder how much more game there is still. I know there's a second map, it'll be interesting to see how big it is.

I don't think you're done on Trosky even after the wedding tbh Phunky.

I think for the most part they do a pretty bang-up job. It's important to remember that also that Building always change over time as they age, due to wear, tear and repair. Unlike now, where we try and preserve the past, the same wasn't true for centuries and more often than not a lot of older building are later rebuilds on older foundations. A bit like the great grandfather Axe analogy, of this is my great-grandfather's axe. My grandfather replaced the axe head, and my father replaced the handle, but it is still my great-grandfather's axe.

This has been such an incredible adventure so far. Definitely my top contender for Game of the Year. 50 hours in and just reached the Kuttenberg region. The main story sure has taken some crazy twists and turns.

Glad you came on board with it. It's a pity that some people here decided to skip it because of internet noise. Hopefully, they'll come around and realise they're missing out on the best open-world RPG since TW3, coupled with the fact that the game looks and runs like a dream.

Albeit I got through the wedding and got to Trosky, I love noodling with the systems, quests and exploring, so I did a 3rd Start a few days back and have been digging into quests. There is so much in there that isn't even listed in terms of additional dialogue exchanges. Like revisiting Characters during quests often gives you extra conversations that don't show up on the critical path. For instance, with Bad Blood I visited Dustko the Woodcutter after I found Roman's Body and he was all 'I'll arrange for his burial'. There is no quest prompt to revisit him, and it doesn't garner any reward. However, it does make the world feel more real and I love that it is in there.

Oh yeah, maybe a bug but another thing I discovered is items in birds nests respawn. I was wondering by a birds nest I'd shot down a few days prior and accidently clicked on it and found a silver ring in it and was like 'Huh?' so I went to another nearby nest I'd also shot down around the same time and found a lockpick in that. Not sure I'd actively encourage revisiting them all, but useful to know if you travel past them.

I loved the first zone. Getting to the second zone I lost interest in the game. The combat has become super easy. The quests involve wandering around to talk to an NPC, then he refers you to another NPC thats only wandering at certain times, who then refers you to another NPC and so on. Lots of dialogue and fetch stuff that could easily be condensed down because it's not interesting. I haven't played much the past week. Maybe I will pick it up again in the future.

Maybe hold off until the DLCs land Jormbo if you are burnt out, or wait until hardcore mode.

I'm just in the early hours of the second zone (still haven't visited Kuttenberg), but it seems like it's going to be absolutely massive.

The combat has definitely gotten quite easy for me as well, but I think I'm just getting a lot better at using master strike and dodging. I've taken to using longswords now instead of the shortsword + shield combo I was using for the first 30 ~ 40 hours. I'm probably going to trying using a mace as well as more and more heavily armored foes have begun to show up. So far, I'm still really enjoying the combat.

I think the early game sword and board is essential, but yeah I want to get more into longsword once I have better armour overall. It's always good to have a heavy weapon to fall back on for battering armoured dudes though.

Alright, made it through the wedding finally and I was kinda surprised how involved the whole thing was. There was a lot going on!
What surprised me more was the Trosky castle section right after. That was quite harrowing ngl. The sneaking, trying to heal Thomas before Hans is executed, all that. I got through that all and saved the game right as I was set free again cauze it was like 1am, all I know is there are an absolute shit ton of locked chests and stuff in the castle that I need to rifle through. Im gonna rob that placd blind.
