Man I don't know how you can list 'em like that Franky!

Ps1 is one of the worst aged platforms out there. I know people say that about n64 as well but that always made my head spin because compare how n64 does 3d vs ps1 and there's no comparison. N64 - at least the classics - aged so ridiculously better than ps1 stuff that the comparison is offensive.

I guess if you love rpgs more than anything else I can see the love for it ps1, yeah I never was huge on 100 hour rpgs. I can only get through so many of those

Also I thought ps3 would be right up your alley. Damn I miss the ps3 bro, back when sony first party was firing on all cylinders. Ps4 is the better console overall no doubt but definitely not because of Sony's first party

PlayStation was glorious. Many will say that the PS2 is the GOAT but my vote goes towards the PS1. Had it made with that console, can't even tell you how great those days were. Used to play all kinds of games and they were all kind of neat if you ask me. Instead of going to Fatburger and wasting quarters on the arcade machine, we had an actual PS1 cd of Asteroids to play. Konami Classics. Crash Bandicoot. Spyro. Gran Turismo and Grand Turismo 2. Marvel vs Capcom fighting games. Road Rash. Twisted Metal. Bust A Move '99 and all these others. But some of the best games were the ones nobody could even tell you about now. I'll have to find my collection one of these days and reminisce. I'm biased though, I grew up with PS1

PS3 was really amazing.
Weak start, nice catch up race resulting in a glorious finish.

Lots of fun indie stuff, great exclusives, the birth of big franchises (Uncharted, TLOU, Souls games) but also quite experimental things like Journey. And with the Vita going along with it it was even more fun.

And you had a nice media center in it as well.

Sony feels like old stale bread these days.
What a difference 12 years make.

I'm mostly glad the PlayStation brand has done what it has done and has given what it has given but the last seven or so years could have been better. They let the libtard woke bigot scumbags infiltrate the gaming sector and they were the main culprits among the big three publishers, Xbox being pretty guilty of that as well. I won't blame Jim entirely, but still... Happened on his watch. Sayonara, Jimbo-san

All of them were great save for the PS5, you pretty much got that one dead on.

Why though.

Both playstation and Xbox lost their uniqueness because most the games comes to pc anyway.

PS1 and PS2 were magical because they had unique titles not found anywhere else.

They almost share their entire catalogue with pc, only making Nintendo unique

Consoles were never only about having some hardware to play games on. You bought into a cosmos and attitude. Plus some fun tech that looked and felt different from the other consoles.

What you get now is a non customisable Windows PC that's outdated after a few years. And that plays only a fraction of the games existing.

It's not even that the PS5 is bad.
It's Sony that has become lame and predictable as hell.
Yep. It still has value, you can still buy physical games, plenty of games just work and play well vs. pc versions that may not, doubles as a faster bc ps4 etc. That last one is the main and dare I say only reason I own one.

But Sony's first party is 99% trash, more games than ever are on pc and now we have to look forward to buying another damn machine in the ps5 pro unless we want to be stuck with ugly ass fsr2 image quality and second rate versions of games. It's all very much lame and predictable just as you said!

PS5 is my PS4 Pro Pro 🫂

Which is why I've not bought one yet, because I'd barely played anything on my PS4Pro since the Switch came out, and I've not played anything at all on it since the Steam Deck did.

The only reason I turn my PS4Pro on these days is to watch DVD's and Blu Rays. If it dies, I'm more likely to just get a 4K Blu Ray player than a PS5 right now.
