Thread: Iron Sheik v. Artie Lange
These are great. I saw these years ago and remember on one of them someone put their dick through his picture. Of course, Sheik went bonkers.

One question though, did Sheik know they were joking with him and was just providing some entertainment or was he really angry?

This is actually a debate going on right now between me and a buddy of mine. I don't see how he wouldnt be able to tell that it was a joke but my friend is convinced that the Sheik was just a lunatic.

He has seen the documentary about him though and I have not. Maybe that shines a light on how crazy he was?

I grew up on Howard Stern with Artie. And all the older people around me constantly "the show was so much better with Jackie".

Now I am the old man saying "the show was so much better with Artie".

Lol! Yeah, I can't imagine him thinking that was Savage and saying FUCK YOU RANDY SAVAGE!! Same with all of them. High Pitch Erik coming out and Sheik saying "Embarrassing, give me something I'd like to fuck!". Man, I miss this type of entertainment.

Artie > Jackie by a mile

I dont think anyone vouches for the post Artie years however lol

I was a Jackie guy but I grew up with him instead. The show would go on live on the west coast at like 2 or 3 am and I would lay in bed listening to it. When the book Private Parts came out I bought it on the first day and waited in line for 4 hours to get it signed by him when he visited my city. It's a shame what he became as he provided so much entertainment to me. I liked Artie as well except when he became total junkie Artie.

haha you don't have to be an old man for that

The show got so bad when Artie left. And not just because of that, but because Stern was one of the first people slurping the woke mind virus juice. He played it cool for a while, but once Trump became president, he went full libtard. And now he's spent the past 3 years hiding in his mansion, afraid to come out, doing a Zoom podcast version of the show.

It was mostly a work but his managers/handlers knew how to push his buttons to get him to go over the top. You never hear about him getting violent or attacking anyone though.

He did a shoot with RF called On The Road where they travel around with different wrestlers. In that you could hear him say "Am I on?" when he gets in the car and sees the camera, asking if it's time for him to switch the act on. You also see his manager talking to him about Benoit and mentioning Daniel being killed a bunch, which really worked him up and gets him crying.

Sheik's daughter was murdered in 1999 and that really fucked him up. He hit the drugs hard. After that was when he become a lot more erratic.

Tbf, Stern was getting too old to keep up his shock jock antics. Not really a good luck to be slobbering over girls younger than your daughters like a horny schoolboy when youre 50 years old

So he pivoted and rebranded, in an attempt to become and more like a Barbara Walters type

Between his stint as a judge on America's Got Talent to letting Marci Turk take the reigns from BaBaBooey entirely and PC-up the show, all the way to him suddenly clamoring to be beside celebrities like Ellen Degeneres and Jennifer Anniston who he'd formerly mocked ruthlessly... his true colors shown

His wife, Beth, and decades of therapy certainly softened him up also. Dude especially went wacky germophobe afraid to leave the Hamptons house during the Covid years

I'll never dislike Howard, because I loved his show as much as I did, but yeah...

He wants to be remembered as an interviewer first and a shock jock second. Hes the outsider who lashed out at the insiders for decades, secretly wanting in their secret clubhouse the entire time.

Dude's still a legend though, despite him lying about his wig and love affair with Ralph 😅😅😅
