Thread: Immortals of Aveum - PS5 and Series X use 720p upscaled to 4k. Artefact apocalypse. 436p for Series S
Honestly, with DLSS 3.5, a Switch 2 could easily do raytracing while having great IQ on a small screen AND good performance.
Man i have this image in my head of both metroid prime 4 and luigi's mansion 4 and in my head they look glorious…

Seeing what prime remastered and weegee 3 look like on something that makes a 750ti feel like brock lesnar, I think we are going to be shocked at what's to come

I don't keep up too much with the tech side of things like I used to many years back. But when I just happened to see this video yesterday on YouTube my mind was blown. I don't think any engine or feature is worth this level of trade off. I couldn't believe the numbers I was seeing.

I only watched because I recalled seeing an OT for this game here on this forum. I wanted to see what it was. I wasn't ready 🤣

I watched more footage of the game, paying attention to the visual fidelity. And I'm honestly underwhelmed. Despite Lumen, the lighting in many scenes look flat and bland. I don't understand how the spells and all the magic shit doesn't light up the environment more. I'd expect the spells to be light sources, but it doesn't seem they are. WIth this kind of performance, you'd expect do be blown away, or at least the game being the best looking game out there. Which it isn't.

Maybe it does, but I never see anyone mentioning it for anything but its graphics, it sorta became a meme for that.

It's one of those games where it's as interesting as you're willing to make it because of how open ended it is and the level of interactivity. But most people who play it have no imagination or just play on Easy so they don't need to think a scenario through.
