By that I mean a song to wake up to. For the longest time I woke up to Children [full length version] by Robert Miles but since his death, I tried different other songs but doesn't do the job. As I'm a generally grumpy guy, it needs to be progressive in intensity. So looking for recommendations.

Back when I was a total degenerate, this was my wake up song because I wouldn't get up to some sweet and calm melody. Gets good at like 1:03.

Well that would have been something for me too 20 years ago. I wake up to this song these days but it's a bit too cringey but I like the cheerfulness of it.

I've kept this as my "Wake up!" alarm jingle since I found it as one of the built-in jingles on my sexy new Sony Walkman phone about 14 years ago.
Making sure to copy the .mp3 file to each new handset I've had since.

I find it has just the right level of "OMG MAKE IT STOP, MY EARS ARE BLEEDING!" piercing shrillness to do the job.
Plus it's already awful and uninspired corpo-rock meaning that it's deserving of hate as default, rather than taking something I actually liked and learning to hate it because it's my alarm jingle.

Enjoy:

Full the best effect - put it on repeat!

You're Canadian, wake up with Bryan Adams.

Or another Chicane track.

Or something else.

I like waking up to post rock as it typically lacks lyrics and lets me just vibe.

I highly recommend Tides from Nebula... specifically this song. It builds like a Chris Nolan soundtrack.

This is a great song to wake up to. Lots of energy. Just don't play it while driving. 😁
