Thread: I had a sleep study last night AMA
From 8:30-5am I was hooked up to all manner of electrodes and wires in a weird hospital hotel room. I was told to sleep on my back which is completely unnatural to me.. could barely sleep.. tossed and turned quite a bit. Got home a few minutes ago, washed the goop out of my scalp and facial hair and hopped back into bed.

There's no way I could do something like that and actually sleep, unless they gave me sleeping pills.

Were they testing you for sleep apnea? As a fellow fat man I do hate it when doctors want me to lay on my back this is particularly bad in stuff like MRI machines where I also get claustrophobic

Yea, sleep apnea. I snore and wake with a headache often. Classic signs.

Laying on my back and starting the process at 8:30pm would make this not a sleep study for me. I just can't sleep on my back or that early in the night.

I actually have this problem, and was hoping to get tested whether I have it. I was afraid though the hospital stay and observation might be expensive so I never went through with it.

Yeah. That's what I feel when I wake up sometimes too. I feel so groggy and just want to lie down again, even though it'll make it worse.

How many times did you fart taking the sleep test ? For some reason the best ones come while lying in bed.

You must have some kind of good health care you're getting the royal treatment when I need to be tested for sleep apnea they just gave me a device and said go home and figure it out, and probably like you being told I need to lay on my back man I was like all right this is probably going to show that I don't sleep well because that's not how I sleep.
