LOL How about no?

I'm gonna post Starfire pics now and pretend this thing doesn't exist.

Woo review

I should mention that this is essentially a romance book, with an LGBT romance at its core. Mandy's love interest Claire, a popular girl who she's been crushing on for years, is a good example of how to write a character who is likable and still prone to mistakes and falling back on bad old habits. The dynamic between them reminds me a bit of Luz and Amity from The Owl House, one of the best representations of young queer love in animation. But this definitely isn't a kids' graphic novel—the language gets surprisingly salty at points.

Since I've never heard of the Owl House, checked it out.
They are really pushing LGBT non stop, aren't they.

Look all those 108.000 dislikes by racist bigots by now.

you can't even comment how much satisfied you are with this new direction /s

TBH I just thought about one thing
Anime/manga is loaded with lesbian stuff (granted large part of it is for fanservice) and in a way I think it is doing a much more thorough job normalizing it as opposed to the the crude fat lesbian wokism in something like this comic.

Also this - I initially brushed off the comment about anime but now I am not so sure.

Maybe I should start a separate thread, dunno.
Was browsing around stuff to read and noticed an explosion of yuri LNs manga etc.
Interestingly, far, far less yaoi stuff which tells me that it's probably mostly men consuming the stuff.

Also, pet peeve, find it fucking annoying how many manga/anime constantly bait so that they can attract fans of this stuff and also keep those who would ditch the manga/anime if it becomes obvious.

Personally I don't care for the stuff and in a way I'd rather have stuff like this Starfire comic where it's obvious and where I am not going to buy it or spend my time watching it.

BTW an example

See new anime (was not aware of the manga)

Hmm, horror comedy looks kinda interesting...

Me seeing 3 girls as main characters - hmm, dunno...

Me reads FAQ

Hana is Miko's best friend, whose strong spiritual aura attracts spirits far and wide. She's always hungry, often complaining to Miko and dragging her to various restaurants. Hana is also a good source of emotional support. There's an ongoing joke about how Miko is totally in love with her, and after a terrifying episode, Miko is so relieved she declares she loves her with tears in her eyes.

Me: hmm screw that

My interest in LGBTQ in manga/anime explained in meme form:

I'm pretty straightlaced so I'd rather not see any LGBT stuff in my entertainment media, so when I watch anime/read manga and get a surprise it's far more annoying than when DC announces in advance HEY FOLX SUPERMXN IS NOW GENDERQUEER AND GAY!!!

"Seventeen-year-old Mandy, daughter of Starfire, is not like her mother. Starfire is gorgeous, tall, sparkly, and a hero. Mandy is not a sparkly superhero. Mandy has no powers. She's a kid who dyes her hair black and hates everyone but her best friend, Lincoln. "

Definitely something I want to read more about. lol.

Honestly I still find it ridiculous that the child of any superhero would be allowed to get fat and develop antisocial tendencies.

Like the circus performers modern superheroes are based upon, being raised in a community that is dedicated to hard work, self sacrifice and constant physical activity, would not produce a lazy, greedy, self absorbed little goblin person.

You simply have to love that "I am a fat asshole that acts like a cunt, and that's completely okay." attitude.

I hope she gets herself in a welfare line in that comic book, and tells us how it's the fault of society she isn't rich.
