Got until episode 4 now of the fourth season, and this show went to complete trash from last season to this one..

It's barely watchable now. All the woke shit in this unbearable, the quality of the writing went down from quite good to downright appalling..

This must be the worst drop I have ever witnessed in the quality of a show from one season to another..

Ya season 4 was a drop in quality. Waste alot of time with stuff that wasn't interesting like Black smart girl Frenchies gay love affair and Hugheys dad dying. Also alot of those plot points didn't really have any major story effect. The last 2 episodes are a bit better but still didn't make the season worth it.

Also felt the show went to extremes. It was always over the top but I felt this season it just felt more exploitative and more extreme. The self lobotomy scene comes to mind or how comically evil they made Homelander. I think that was a direct fuck you to the audience since Homie is a fan favourite because the actor does such a good job. He is always meant to be a bad guy but they really went ham with it this season.

And we don't see firecrackers titties FFS. We see plenty of ass and dong like lots of dong. At least there was one scene of starlights ass. But the ratio of male nudity to female nudity was off the charts. It was nearly a gay porno at some point.
But I will watch season 5 just to see how they wrap it up and what does soldier boy do and how crazy does Homelander get lol

The whole show is going nowhere because the writing team don't want the actual showdown between 'Ohmlanda and Billy Butcher to take place.

Very much stuck in neutral right now. Hughie should have been written out, he serves no purpose and has no agency any longer. The whole Frenchie thing was just pointless this season and the show is running on fumes.

Also, the show was always woke, it just didn't browbeat half it's audience for the first season. Then they had Homelander team up with a literal Neo-Nazi to let you know what they think about conservative America.

Try rewatching the whole thing some day. You'll find out that only season 1 was any good. Seasons 2, 3 and 4 are all horrible (with 4 ripping the mask off completely).

If you ever see a scene in a show or movie where the actor's face is not seen while there is any kind of nudity going on, then it's a double. They'd never pay to have a star do a nude scene and leave any question as to whether or not the star is the one who is nude haha

Starlight looks like a halloween carnival ride now after her OPs and Firecracker looks like she belongs behind a Walmart counter. Karen Fukuhara is the only cute looking girl now in the show.

Yeah, we get it, Homelander is a mass murdering psycho and nobody can do anything about it.

All that woke "right proganda" shit is so into your face it feels like it's been written for the kid's tv program.

MM and Butcher's story isn't going anywhere. I feel bad for those two for still being in this show at this moment.

The woke stuff was way to much. All the riffing on troons are after your kids and literally saying ANTIFA it was too on the nose. And black girl of course even though everything was messed up she swoops in and says nope that was my plan all along. I mean cmon man.

Dying dad was pointless. It didn't pay off that Hughie learned to let go so at the end of the season he has to make a hard choice. They just spent half the season with Hughie and his mom. Even using the V didn't play into anything like using V on dead supes or people. Was pointless.

Firecracker is a total butterface. Her body was cracking and was hoping when she was breast feeding Homie we would get some counter balance to all the dong we had seen all season long. But nope can't even show a nipple.

All the characters and stories felt annoying this season. I just didn't care for anyone.

I agree on the ratings for the seasons. 1 was great. 2 and 3 were decent with quality going down as the seasons went on. 4 was boring over the top and pointless. Honestly could have just had the last episode of the season and that's it.

Never watched the show, so nothing of value was lost for me. But, THIS is why I rarely watch shows when they are running these days. They tweak and warp it based on viewer sentiment and changes in production staff. And if its a continuous story arc, its even more risky as they usually start with a good arc and this screw the pooch extending it when they get renewed.
