You know what when i think about it I've never cared for mechs either for the most part. Gurren Lagaan is my favorite mech thing though.

There is an anime I watched that deals with mechs very often that I liked. But the mechs had zero impact on its greatness imo. It's called Code Geass: Lelouch of the Revolution. Machinery does not interest me and they lack humanity so there's another reason I do not find them compelling in story based video games
