Thread: Helldivers ll is a huge success.... But not because of PS5 players.

  1. PC

That's US only. In Europe for example, PC is way stronger than in the US.

Indicating that the game wouldn't be a success if it would've been a PS5 exclusive, PC is doing the heavy lifting.

Which is interesting and really shows how much of a wild card the PC audience can be. Little Big Planet and Ratchet & Clank had very weak sales, Returnal didn't sell a lot, God of War sold very well. Helldivers ll is selling like hot cakes.

Naturally, the game would flourish on PC especially, PC has historically been the platform for these kind of games.

How is it by the way? I tend to avoid live service games like the plague, but looks like a lot of people are liking this one, not just the usual consoomers who buy everything.

The original was fantastic. Haven't played this one yet but I've heard nothing but good things.

The power of simultaneous launch. One marketing push for both platforms (previous ports were barely marketed).

fucking Steam nerds taking my server spot! I knew it!

Is there a way to tell if the people in your party are PC or Playstation? I dont recall seeing anything

Meh, I remain unconvinced. The PlayStation base is notoriously fond of offline single player games while the PC base loves online games. Plus I haven't played online in years and I didn't like having to buy a fucking PS+ subscription to play Helldivers. Sure I'm not alone in that, and I'm sure some people given the choice bought the PC version just to avoid having to pay a retarded $80 for a year of worthless PS+. And I'm also sure that a good many of those who don't have a PC want to play Helldivers, but not enough to pay for the online service and the game. There are a lot of factors here.

Get back to me when a completely offline game on PC outsells its PS5 counterpart.
