Thread: Happy Paddy's day!
Trying to have my roof inspected and getting drunk later today like every day.

Gigging later tonight. St Paddy's on a Sunday is always a crappy crowd because everyone got hammered the night before. But still, st Paddy's weekends are great for business. Played 2 shows Friday, 2 shows Saturday and one more today. Can't wait for bed later tonight, I'm tired AF.

Will probably celebrate by slamming a large shamrock shake from mcdicks

Watching this w the kids today

We made fried Irish egg rolls and bread pudding tonight, and I'll make a cabbage soup for tomorrow's dinner.

I grew up very American-Irish... my two younger sisters did irish stepdancing and toured around Michigan and surrounding states when we were all kids, and my dad played bodhran for a few different irish gig bands in the area.

I hiked 15 miles in South Mountain Park preserve. I had intended to do only 5 miles, but I read a trail marker wrong compared to the pdf map I had and for that I now have a bruised sole and hurt knee.

How long did that take you?

About 6 hours with multiple elevation changes up to 1,145 ft starting at the Mormon Trail loop to National Trail with a side track to the hidden tunnel trail, then back to National to what I had hoped was Javelina Canyon trail back to Mormon Trail loop.

What I did wrong was take Pima Wash trail down the mountain to the end of Ridgline, running the entirety of that, which is where I hurt my knee doing the up and down elevation runs over four peaks then made it to the entry of Javelina trail from the Tempe entrance, which is the opposite end of the park all the way back to Mormon Trail loop back to the Phoenix entrance.

I guess I am not doing any of my 5.2 mile walks this week as I mend. So more Helldivers time. I will, however, be lifting weights on my off days, but my cardio is going to be taking a break outside of the humping my woman and I are getting up to.

The mountains close to Verado are also excellent for hiking .

I haven't done this hike on South Mountain before, which is why I got lost. I have hiked from the base to the towers for a couple of years supporting Breast Cancer Awareness that my mother set up for a sponsorship/hike group.

I tend to run the Shaw Butte and North Mountain hikes or the typical Squaw peak and Camelback peak summit hikes. The last time I did something this long was when I hiked about 12 miles into the Superstitions range.
