Thread: Half-Life 25th Anniversary
Nothing has diminished my love for Valve games more than their unwillingness to come through on their promises.

It's a meme, I get it, but there was a time when I actually would have been excited for this topic and the associated deep dives on the retrospectives. Valve being successful is a monkey's paw wish fulfillment if there ever was.

Cool stuff. I played through Half-Life: Source multiple times and loved it. But now with the original being free, I can try the Half-Life Decay: Solo Mission demo that's been sitting awkwardly in my library. I will watch the 25th Anniversary documentary too.

When I saw the OG menu I almost shed a tear. I haven't seen that in like 20 years or so. The bug fixes are nice and luckily they kept all the speed-running tricks and glitches in or at least all the ones I use.

It's official. Half-Life 3 confirmed. It does make me wonder why they would even bother touching old school half life. Are they prepping for something? Not to take anything away from the OG, but Black Mesa is such a masterpiece, I'll never play the OG again. The music alone is fking amazing. And if they do a half life 3, I hope they bring that Joel dude in.
