If it's more of the same then no. It was already getting a little stale and then 4+5 straight killed it.
If they actually have some way to freshen the gameplay without losing the core identity and also figure out how to create new characters that aren't boring or annoying, then I'm interested.

Hivebusters was good. I just don't know if I am invested enough in the resolution to Kait's arc to even bother with the 6th entry. I wasn't particularly keen on the expanded world type stuff either, even if the series does need something new to help revitalise it.

Gears of War 3 was the last time I gave that series the time of day. Might have played a game or two of Hoarde on Gears 4 or maybe it was Gears 5? But I knew after GoW3 that it was done

I actually like game pass as a service, but since it's come out there has been a severe decrease in quality in first party games from MS. Outside of a few exceptions it's just "content." All this to say, this will likely also be just more "content"

4 was bearable. 5 was trash and not gears.

I wonder how long it'll take to get "black lady afro technology" built into UE5. That's probably what has held this back this long, because there's no other possible choice for a character model to feature on the boxart and ads.

It's funny as gears 1-3 was wildly popular and then judgement adding free for all which was fun ruined the team work of this game. I couldn't tell you the story of 4 and 5 but I'll never forget the giant fucking worm sinking the cities.
