Thread: Found myself inside a Micro Center store today....
I'll just recommend my two favourites that released this year

Balatro

Selaco

Neither will push your machine but god damn if they aren't both a great time.

I'd also say if you have a spare 150 hours, get Baldur's Gate 3, it's perhaps the finest WRPG ever created.

What kinds of games are you into?

Visually great games that rock visuals that are way better than on consoles:

Control
Cyberpunk with Overdrive
Metro Exodus
Avatar

Quake 2 RTX is a great tech demo for lighting

Honestly i play anything but turn based (theres only been a couple of exceptions)or jrpgs.

Haven't even been able to set up yet cuz im getting ready to go outta town. But had to take advantage of the grand opening deal lol.

How much did you pay for the system?

They should be opening in Florida next year. I've heard some really good stuff about Micro Center, and may use them for my next computer.

If you're after PC exclusives then here's a number of games from different genres, old and new:
Factorio
Dwarf Fortress
GTFO (Needs 4 players)
Inscryption
Kenshi
Half Life
System Shock 2
Starcraft
Dota 2
Deadlock (DM me if you want an inv)
Garrys Mod
Counter Strike (Most people play CS2 now but 1.6 and Source are amazing)
Uplink
Rollercoaster Tycoon (check out OpenRCT if you're interested)
Recettear
Civilization 6
Sim City 4 (with mods)

If you're interested in MMORPGs then some of the most popular are:
Old School Runescape
FFXIV
WoW (Retail and classic)
Guild Wars (I would start with Nightfall)
Guild Wars 2
EVE Online

PC also gives you loads of emulation options, there's another thread for that specifically but you can emulate a lot up to and including PS3/360 era and almost all Nintendo stuff. Modding is fun too, games like Skyrim and Fallout have huge modding libraries but many other games will have mods as well ranging from minor improvements/fixes to complete overhauls. Moguri Mod for FFIX is a good example of an overhaul mod that doesn't really change gameplay but gives massive visual improvements.

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home can be helpful. If you run into issues (especially with new releases) then updating GPU drivers can often help. Welcome to the hobby :)

I can't recall if it was just an Xbox you had, but if not I'd be hammering those PS exclusives that are now on PC. Also don't buy your games direct from Steam and you'll save loads of money.

Don't forget to join the D Pad Steam group.
