So there's a new attraction opening in Vegas. It seems like it'll be a lot like that ride in California Adventures in Disneyland.

FlyOver lets you experience the magical feeling of flight through immersive, state-of-the-art technology while guests soar, dip, and dive across awe-inspiring landscapes—all without leaving The Strip. Special effects including wind, mist, and scents combined with the ride's motion create an unforgettable experience.

Modeled after highly-successful FlyOver attractions in Canada and Iceland, this is the first ride of its kind in Las Vegas. Beyond the ride, FlyOver will feature pre- and post-show experiences as well as food, beverage and retail offerings.

FlyOver Las Vegas will be located on the world-famous Las Vegas Boulevard, steps away from great shopping, dining, casinos and all the other great amenities Las Vegas has to offer.

Sounds like this is a lot of fun. It's scheduled to open in Fall of this year.

Huh, I should take a vacation to Vegas sometime. Probably after Covid lockdowns fully stop, though.

the night view of Vegas IS beautiful. but honestly, unless you plan on spending lot of money there (gambling, food and show etc), most of the fun can be have in any major city for a more reasonable price. as someone who lives in SoCal and used to go to Vegas all the time for work, I highly recommend going somewhere else unless Vegas is only part of your trip and you'll also be going to other places.

I live here and I can tell you that off-Strip and even places "hugging" the Strip, you can find extremely reasonable prices from rooms to booze to food.

Shit, there's a bar just a 2 minute walk from the Strip called Stage Door that has beer and a hot dog for 3 bucks and lots of other reasonable drink prices.

Ellis Island down the street has super cheap craft beer.

Tuscany Casino and resort which is about a 2 minute drive from the Strip has good drink prices and cheap rooms that are mini suites.

You just need to know where to go. Lots of decent places for super cheap right near all the action.

oh I agree there would be plenty of good and affordable place to go in Vegas off the strip. hell, one of the best udon place I've had in the US was off the strip in Vegas and I came upon it by chance. but the problem is, if the person is just visiting without knowing anyone, chances are they won't know about these places. when out of town people talk about Vegas they're always only talking about the strip, and won't be going out of the way to anywhere else. it's a shame but that's the truth.

I live in Las Vegas and I can second that. SoCal is also terrific! I used to live there.

There was a video on this I watched. It's actually a robotic dummy that gets elected into the air.

Colour me impressed if it's a Robot
It is.

I watched a video about the upcoming Avengers Campus and they showed how it worked. So there's no stuntman at that particular scene you see where he's in the air.

Edit: here you go.

Oh shit the Spider-Man ride opened too and it looks.... like hot garbage. Holy crap this is Disney too!
