I'm kinda surprised you don't need PS+ to play it. It's not a F2P game and I can't even play fucking VR Minigolf with my brother without handing $80 over to those fucks.

People forget, Xbox were being masterfully greedy cunts, all the way back when PlayStation were burning huge piles of money in the hopes Crazy Ken knew what he was doing

Remember when Microsoft required Gold subscription to use Netflix and Hulu? People forget so easily. Pretty sure Sony was touting how f2p were actually free when launching the PS4 while Xbox One still required an online Gold sub to play anything online, even f2p. This changed over time (hence the article linked in the first part) but it's still funny to think back and remember people who defended it.

Oh I love the PS3 and kind of wish we'd actually got the $1000+ monstrosity version Ken Kutaragi had originally envisioned, not least of all because Blu Ray has turned out to be a godsend for physical media, but it was still a banger of a balls up and nearly killed PlayStation at the time.

I had paid a scalper 1300$, I wanted one on launch day so much.
