Thread: Fighting Force - What Happened?
I loved Fighting Force back in the day, but as with a lot of early attempts at 3D adaptations of 2D genres it doesn't age half as well as the 2D games.

Streets of Rage 4 was an incredible example of why we don't need Fighting Force.

However.

It's possible to do 3D well enough, as Namco proved several times. First with Tekken Force mode, then again with Urban Reign. UR even had Paul and Law in. It was basically Tekken unrestricted.

Urban Reign was massively underrated. I loved that one.

I remember this game getting a lot of media push at the time and then when it came out it was just kind of a run of the mill beat'em up. It was fun in the way that these types of games are but also just as shallow and forgettable.
