Thread: FBC Firebreak Gameplay trailer
I get the feeling they just wanted to have a cheapish project that could reuse a lot of existing assets to try and bring in some cash. It seems to look very generic despite the oldest house being a really unique and interesting setting. I wish they had taken a more serious tone like Control rather than this almost slapstick attempt at comedy they seem to be going for. Something more like GTFO, that has a mix of very fast/frantic and also slow paced moments with more horror themes could work so well given the setting and the infinite possibilities of altered items.

Doesn't scream Remedy to me but still looks pretty cool.

And what's up with TF2's Engineer taking a job at the FBC?

I played the Alpha, it's bad. It might garner an audience if

1) it's free to play
2) they make sweeping changes to gameplay, including hit reactions, weapon "feel" (they all feel underpowered), mob behaviours, animations... A whole pass is needed tbh.

This was a contractual obligation with 505 Games for publishing Control and boy does it show. I don't expect this to do anything other than crash and burn.
