Wouldn't be the worst vote outcome so far. But it would very disappointing. I like both, but consider them on different levels. For a kid, Goonies all the way, as an adult who works in software, Office Space is my anthem. So poignant and hilarious.

Office Space is extremely dated, especially with teleworking being a thing. The Goonies is the perfection children movie and still holds up pretty well.
Is it really though? Swap out TPS cover sheets with Slack/asynchronous stand up update format or JIRA task creation/updating rules and it's how things are now. WFH has not removed or even reduced the corporate BS. It's only changed what the exact pain points are.
My reality is totally different post-covid. Depends on the workspace I guess.

I saw it in theatres with my grandparents and it was awesome when I was like 7-8.
It's got such a sense of adventure and I still enjoy it to this day.

Goonies is fine. But Office Space is an all time great comedy. Easy choice here. And it's not dated at all. Still extremely relevant to the white collar office grind. Even in the WFH era.

They took me to see Return Of The Jedi a few years before Goonies. After I saw the last SW film, I told my grandpa "You remember that Star Wars movie we saw when I was a kid? The guy Darth Vader threw down the pit? He's back."
My grandpa replied: "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. How the hell did he survive?!"
And then he muttered something about modern writers being retarded.
Goonies always in this case, regardless.

Not only is The Goonies one of my favorite movies of all time but The Goonies 2 video game for the NES is one of my favorite video games of all time.

Lol. It's a joke. An all time great against a schlocky kids movie. Sad day if this result holds.
After some back and forth over the last few days, this face/off has resulted in a tie.
