I only use them when i'm really lazy and don't care about the costs or I get a sweet discount code. It's insane how much cheaper it is just to go and pick it up yourself.

I tried Deliveroo (UK) once. Ordered a Wagamamas for 3 of us. It turned up tepid and in smaller portions than you get in the restaurant. It put me off the whole concept, and I wouldn't bother unless I wasn't able to leave the house.

Now you can get shit from the local shop delivered, which both makes perfect sense and is completely wild. You don't even have to leave the house to get a packet of fags and a bottle of white lightning.

With the baby these services allow us to enjoy nice meals we might not otherwise be able to have. Isaac is pretty good and we get away with a fair bit but anything that takes a while to eat is a risk in a nice restaurant.

Too expensive for what it offers. I'd rather spend a few minutes picking stuff up. I can take the dogs for a car ride too if it is not too hot out.

I've been ordering Bob Evans delivery for breakfast recently. They use DoorDash and on Fridays they waive the delivery and service fees. It's all shit you can make at home for cheaper, but you don't feel like making any of it.

I usually use it on Birthdays to save people having to leave to get the food. Also they are a nice treat as well, so it adds to the special day. At least they cook the food for you, some services allow you to pay a regular fee to get items delivered to your door, with a recipe card that you can use to cook the food yourself! Its not as if supermarket grocery deliveries are a thing for that.

Yes but rarely now taht i am doing Anabolic diet. Its great bexause u can oeder anything. But man its expensive. You add like 5 or 6 bucks when you add in fees and tip etc... big mac meal is like 20$ + CAD. So mainly to rich for my blood outside of like once in a blue moon.

I used them a lot during the early CoVID days. ANd I do when my company gives us vouchers (a handful of times a year). Beyond that we use them sparingly. They are fairly expensive for what they are. In that you are not paying them to go pick up you food and deliver it to you. You are paying to have them pick it up along with a few other people's food (at different restaurants) and then you get your food in what ever order works for their route. So this can lead to long wait times and cold/soggy food.

But on super lazy days its nice to have more options that just Pizza for home delivery.

No but where I live most won't deliver. Well worth having no delivery for privacy. I'm 10 minutes from town and don't mind not being lazy. It's good to drive in and pick up food.

I love their six cheese pasta and loaded mashed potatoes.
