I work in IT and I'm an opinionated dickhead on every social media platform, so no, it wouldn't surprise anyone.

The only thing I don't talk about as much on here as I do IRL is sports/hunting/outdoors stuff. We've got mostly basement-dwellers here so I understand those aren't hot topics.

Why do you assume we're mostly basement dwellers? I think you'd be surprised by how many here are into those things.

I try to get some football/gun/outdoor threads and convos going but this is still a forum made up of mostly 30+ male gamers and that's not exactly a non-basement dwelling demographic, lol.
 
God no. I don't even really divulge anything personal about myself on the internet. I keep my worlds separate like George Costanza.

This is for anonymous shitposting and farting out exaggerated and extreme kneejerk opinions about bullshit I'd probably not even talk about in real life. Plus, I couldn't have the people I care about knowing that I might play Hogwarts Legacy.

Pretty much where I'm at too. My wife knows I post here, but I can't imagine she'd ever go out of her way to read my posts here.

I enjoy posting my meaningless opinions and screeching into the void, I am opinionated enough to make sure all my friends know about it too.

Not sure I ever post anything I would ever be ashamed for friends or colleagues to read, though there's probably something on an old Something Awful account that I would cringe at, no doubt.

I try not to ever say anything that I would feel bad about. Occasionally this means abstaining from certain threads or making certain jokes. I probably swear a bit more here than I do irl.
 
I've had meet ups with a few other forum members (urbanism related mostly and others who share my footwear style).

I have interests in hiking, survivalism and construction. I had a construction thread on another forum but few participated though.

I posted stuff said about me from KF on Snap for laughs, but no one in my immediate family or friends knows about my history.

Maybe we should start an outdoors OT. I know we've got plenty of 2A supporters here, hopefully some preppers/outdoorsfolk/survivalists to chat with. I always find myself with gear questions and it's better than getting replies from autists on reddit who spend thousands and never leave their house.
