At long last I have finished recording and tallying the lists from many DPAD members, with the final total of movies nominated being 360 all up. The most popular movie chosen was Terminator 2: Judgement Day with 10 votes out of the 27 total lists.

This will be the thread where the results are recorded and some future contests are visible beforehand.

Out of the 360 total nominations, 94 movies received more than 1 nomination and the other 266 received one nomination each. The 94 movies with multiple nominations are moving on to Round 2 automatically.

For this face off format, there will be multiple rounds. In Round 1, there will be 2 face-offs every week between 6 random movies (out of 266) which each received exactly 1 nomination. The most popular movie every vote will be moving forward to Round 2. Every face-off will last 48 Hours, with the first one of the week starting on Monday and the second finishing late on Saturday. I will try and post around the end time to let people know the final results. (I will try to keep the timings as consistent as possible.)

Deadlocks will be face-offed at a future date, which will usually be the upcoming weekend.

{ To neatly divide 266 by 6, 2 random titles from Round 1 were chosen to go to Round 2,
(Evangelion 3.0+1.0 and There's something about Mary). Resulting in 264 for Round 1.}

For Round 2 in the future, the 96 (94+2) entries will be facing off with the winners from Round 1 (44).
These will be joined by 10 saved movies that were eliminated from Round 1, leading to a total of 150 Round 2 entrants.
The face-offs will be between 2 films and will be occurring every weekday for 24 hours, with the winners moving on to Round 3.

For Round 3 , the 75 winners from Round 2 will be joined by 5 saved movies that were eliminated in that round, and these 80 films will be facing off randomly once again, with face/offs occurring every weekday for 24 hours.

For Round 4, the 40 winners of Round 3 will face/off every weekday, with the winners moving on to Round 5. (No more saves :0)
This will result in DPAD's Top 20 Movies at the conclusion of the Round.

In Round 5, the Top 20 will face/off every weekday, with the winners moving on to Round 6.
This will result in DPAD's Top 10 Movies at the conclusion of the Round.

Then, during Round 6, the Top 10 will be further refined during the week of Face/Off's to result in the Top 5 most popular movies.
This will then lead to the Semi-Final where the Top 5 will be all pitted against each other in a 5 way Face/Off, similar to Round 1, with the Top 2 movies facing off in the Final Face/Off in the Final vote.
The winner of the Final Face/Off will be the Top Movie of all Time chosen by the members of DPAD.

Yeah.

.... thx, @Hostile_18 !!!1

I'm pretty sure I mentioned Face Off in my list. Might be on the "automatically in round 2" list?

OMG WHT IS THIS TAKE?! Lord of War is one his BEST movies.
Lord of War pissed me off because all the advertising made it seem like it was going to be a crazy action movie and I think there was one gun scene? The rest was all cocaine and AIDS filled hookers. Boreville.

Lol, okay, not the movie's fault then. I loved it for it was.

It's very different from Face Off, though.

Some truly shit movies in that list. Glad to see people have equally bad taste in movies as they do games.
yeah one to many capeshit nominations for sure. Good thing is they'll forget all about it in 10 years and then never understand what they saw was good about it in the first place.

No results found.
I am officially upset.
And for the record, Lord of War is the worst Nicolas Cage movie.
Don't worry it is in Round 1, I'm just taking a while to type out the nominations. I've used some javascript to create the random order and I am trying to match it with the movies all written down on a spreadsheet. The full 44 votes of Round 1 should be done in a few days, it's just a lot of searching and typing.

Oh thank heavens. Just a reminder that anyone who doesn't vote for Face/Off is gay.

Have to think about what my list would be these days..

When I was a teen, it was...

* Excalibur
* Bladerunner
* Breakfast Club

Nowadays, I think I would add...

* American Beauty

..to it, since it was so transformative for how I have seen life since then, and that was already in my mid to late twenties back then.

Some of those rounds are stacked. Others are full of trash.
Such is the way of randomisation. I'll get to the natural born killers double a little later, I must have been a number off with the input.

EDIT: I accidentally put in 115 twice instead of 116. Kill Bill is now in vote 24.

I've finally finished all the entrants for Round 1. Thanks to the various people who have helped with errors. (I hope its okay now)

Now only a couple of days to wait until the first vote starts on Monday. :coffee:

I'm gonna make a few adjustments:

11. Logan Godfather 2
15. Goldeneye Hateful Eight
31. A Bug's Life Day of the Jackal

My Social Network guess already seems to be a fail.
