Recommendation for cell phones, android only.

Had a friend recommend the One Plus, but isn't that a Chinese Spyware filled phone?

Any other recommendations for semi cost effective phones appreciated.

I'm a Samsung guy as well. Though, I know nothing of their 'cost-effective" lineup. I just get the best model they have on the market and use it until it falls apart in my hands.

Pixel. First time I haven't felt the need to upgrade a phone after 2 years. And compared to other flagships, it's on the cheaper end.

Recommend sticking with an old phone as long as possible and staying out of the upgrade loop. :p (Unless you've got no choice.)

I love my old Pixel 3XL. Still kicking strong.

My S10+ is still an absolute viking. Tho the charging port is fucked. It can transmit data but not really charge. I use a wireless charger anyway.

Sony Xperia 1vi.

Oh wait, that's me.

If Sony stops making them, then go for the saner option for your wallet and get whatever Pixel exists. I like basic Android phones with minimal bloat.

(Still rocking my Sony Xperia 1ii from August 2020. Battery is the only issue I've got with it but it's been 4 years of daily usage and it also doubles as my company phone. Best phone I've ever had.)

Anyone heard of the Nothing Phone? Minimalistic and cheap, little iffy on it after the essential
