Thread: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - PC Trailer
I enjoyed the beta, but I can't support $70 games.

Also, there were several complaints of Steam users randomly getting banned when the game crashed. My beta crashed a few times when I first launched it, and a pop-up came up to reverify or something. I guess if I hit yes it would ban me. Scared me enough that I just used battlenet.

The average rate of inflation since 2005 (the year that $60 became the standard for AAA games at launch) has been roughly 2.5%

In 2005 $1 had the equivalent to $1.52 in todays buying power. If video game prices tracked with inflation you'd be looking at roughly $90 games.

Meanwhile games sold significantly less (meaning publishers and developers made less), didn't come bloated with microtransactions, and weren't abandoned after a year or two.

Cumulative inflation is over 50%, while wages haven't grown by 50%.

Game prices should be lower, not higher.

I'm not surprised to see that games are selling less than ever.

So I got this today, and I'm enjoying it.

A few missions in I was following a cartel leader as he was escaping Mexico going over the wall on the Texas boarder. He used migrants as a cover distraction, and later in the mission (on the US side) your character says to a few civilians "You should move to a safer area."

I await the Polygon/Kotaku meltdowns.

Played some of the campaign last night. Good shit. Looks and sounds great, and some of the set pieces really had me revved up. (y)

It's gonna be a long week waiting for multiplayer to open up, tho. 😬

Based on the spec rec my rig (5800X, 3060ti, 32GB RAM) should run it pretty well in the 1440 range. Been so long since I played on 360 that running through the campaign should be fun.

Nvidia is already gimping Ampere!!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Nvidia has yet to release game ready drivers for it. Does he say what he uses? (Edit: he uses 526. 522.25 still outperforms 526).

It is weird, as MW2 only has dlss and no rtx. There must have been a falling out.

Anyway I get 170 fps on 6v6 maps at 1440p ultra with DLSS so I don't care really.

I heard about the driver thing. Deep into Cold War, the latest Nvidia drivers would cause regular crashes in certain menus.

I was surprised no rt too but apparently Vanguard didn't have it either.
