Nosferatru by Robert Eggers looks to be pretty fucking old school/cool. Having seen most of his movies he likes to really dive into the history almost to a fault but his recreation of the original tales are always on point. I don't really see him as horror so much as psychological horror and the previews got me sold on this one.

Granted I wont go to the theater but I'll find a way to watch it tomorrow

I've been planning on going to see it tomorrow for months. Easily my most anticipated film of the year. I actually heard a clip of Orlok's voice and you'd never believe it was Bill Skarsgard. I've also been told his appearance is a lot different from the original. For starters, he has a beard. When asked about this, Eggers stated that the original description of Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel had him with a beard, so they stuck with this.

Told yall Minecraft was probably gonna make a lot of money. When I saw how the younger folks ate it up, I knew. And the fact that I walked away entertained says its a wider audience than most would expected.

Just got back from 'chaperoning' my studio's trip to see A Minecraft Movie. Its about as you would expect. Over all 5.5/10. But it is visually pretty great and some of the humor lands. Jason Mamoa was actually the star of the film with a lot of funny lines. Jack Black is....Jack Black. The rest of the cast, the lispy boy, his birdfaced sister and the fat black bitch were worthless. And yes they make them all 'bad ass' to inspire Fortnite kids. And despite Mamosa being hilarious, he is also used as the woke punching bag throughout.

Mamosa's character reminded me a lot of Peter Dinklage's character in Pixels...just huge.

Our QA testers loved it and laughed at EVERY gag. Even the ones that were flatter than a 6 year girl old on a big wheel. So I have feeling younger kids will eat this shit up real well. Will not be surprised if it actually makes a lot of money.

I think it will have a huge drop off after the first week or two.
Either way I don't care wether it does good or not anyway 🤣
 
I think it wasn't very good. Kids liked it so maybe that is what matters most. Just thought Mario brothers was better. Minecraft was kind of forgettable.

It did decent but still behind a lot of movies. I don't know if it tops a billion. But it looks like it aped the Jumanji formula and replaced the Rock with Aquaman. If you squint you can't really tell the difference.
Snow Latin bomba big time. It will be on Disney+ in 2 weeks and finish it's domestic rub sub 100 million.
Blacktain Anti America will scrape to 200 million but with its budget reshoots and marketing it's a loser for Marvel.
Between Snow and America they probably make 300 million domestic while the budgets for those 2 combine was inching toward 600 million. Massive loss for Disney there. ThunderCraps ain't gonna save them
F4 and Superman are gonna battle it out this summer to save their respective studios. If superman steals the F4 audience oh boy MCU might be cooked.

I think thunderbolts might be decent like captain america 1 but it's not gonna do gang busters.
