Gearbox, the creator behind the Borderlands series, has nine AAA games currently in development.

Gearbox's parent company Embracer revealed these numbers in its recent financial results, writing, "Gearbox continues to scale the organisation to deliver on its ambitious growth plan, and there are currently nine AAA games under development."

We could already have an idea of what several of these games are, with Homeworld 3, Hyper Light Breaker, Relic Hunters Legends, Have a Nice Death and Eyes in the Dark: The Curious Case of One Victoria Bloom all being published by Gearbox.

However, this leaves space for four more titles to be announced. That is, assuming the aforementioned games are indeed the titles Embracer was referring to in its report - there is of course good reason to claim that some of these games would not fall under the "AAA game" umbrella.

Gearbox as a whole is growing exceptionally fast. In April, the company announced its acquisition of independent video game studio Lost Boys, adding more than 220 team members to its numbers.

Following this acquisition, Gearbox's total headcount now stands at roughly 1300.

I made a huge mistake purchasing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. I watched many reviews and NOBODY mentioned how high this game is on the wokeness scale.

Never again.

I planned on picking it up for $10 down the road but I guess not now. Thanks for the warning. Not surprising because of BL3 but still, I've had enough.

Nine? That seems like a lot. Not sure what to think of that. Gearbox aren't the best in the business and have a mixed track record.

It's bad. Mandatory pronoun selection, every other character being gay, cross dressing , chicks with facial hair, you name it.

It's a shame too, because the game itself is actually pretty good. The d&d angle is neat, and some of the jokes hit pretty well. I pushed on for a good 12 hours or so until I saw my THIRD gay couple. Then I realized, I haven't seen a single straight couple… unless I missed a side character? It's been deleted since.

BL3 has some of the worst antagonists I have ever seen in a game. Rest of the game is decent, tho. Early on I downloaded a language mod and played it with Japanese audio (and refused to read the subtitles) so I wouldn't understand anything those annoying cunts said.
