Haters gonna hate but he did a good job of turning tiny developer with lots of debt into a biggest third party publisher in the industry

Haters? How can you not hate this piece of shit. Where exactly do you find a golf clap for this asshole seriously? Yea he made them successful while driving a terribly toxic and unhealthy work conditions for many that are still rolling out lawsuits.

That Adolf Hitler....hell of a dictator! Haters want to hate on him but who's got numbers like 6 million Jews to brag about

Sounds like a lot of commie gobbledygook. Bobby Kotick was CEO when they published badass id Software and Raven games too and nobody complained.

I love how this is a story....when he VERY clearly said he was only there til the end of the year.... back in October when the aquisition closed. But yes 12/29 vs 12/31, what a revelation!!!

The stuff that is more interesting in the timelines on ABK corp folks like Lulu being shown the door. She was all about the acquisition. So she must have a lots of equity or a nice contract with a golden umbrella.

Also worth note is how they call out the transition as 'through march". I am guessing thats when they plan to ID who else to let go ahead of MS new fiscal year in July.

I remember in high school our class got to speak to some people from Raven Software. They had posters for their two X-Men Legends games. I thought it was cool that we had a game development studio so close to home. Never played any of their games until X-Men Origins: Wolverine on PS3, and as we know they became little more than a support studio for Call of Duty.

Fun fact: Prey (2006) was developed by a different developer with ties to Raven Software, Human Head Studios. Very unfortunate that they later got screwed over by their publisher Bethesda on Prey 2.

I suspect a couple of AAA games could be funded by whatever Golden Parachute he gets paid out. The dude might have turned A/B around, but his salary and bonuses were utterly absurd by any normal metric compared to most CEOs.

It's reported that he got $375 million from the buyout. And it was clear that he was leaving before the end of the year. What would he even do at this point? He ran a multiplatform publisher that makes full priced games and it's going to be turned into a single platform publisher that hands its properties over for a monthly subscription.
