What's weird about it to me is that it's rated as a kid's movie but I can't imagine kids liking it at all. We had groups of kids at our theater and I don't remember even hearing them laughing or anything.

Yea, Soul Train/ MacArthur Park fell flat, too graphic compared to BG1, Weird abrupt wrap up, the contract dismissal made little sense, etc.. all things mentioned by my family.

Apparently it has done very well.

I don't expect very long legs tbh. It's not going to have strong word of mouth. I doubt many people are pushing their friends and family to go see it after they saw it. There are enough good aspects going on that I really wished they had nailed down the plan a little better. This just feels like it was edited down from something that may have been better. Maybe we get the "Burton Cut" some day.
