No, I don't mean the shits after visiting Mexico. I mean the classic video game of the same name!

This was one of the first of it's kind - a Metroidvania that predates Metroid and Castlevania.

You explore a pyramid and collect keys to open doors to collect more treasure.

You play as Panama Joe, an adventurer in the likes of other famous adventurers like.... Pitfall Harry!

This game was released on almost every old video game system at the time.

It was a classic and one of my favorite games for the time period.

I legit thought this was gonna be a thread about getting the shits after eating bad mexican food. lol.

I've definitely heard of this game before though, I'll have to check out a Let's Play sometime, sounds super interesting.

edit, didn't realize what you posted was a Let's Play. Looks awesome, seems playable by today's standards (if the controls are good),

It is. Controls are very good for the time and it always felt polished.

Not sure I ever played this one. But fondly remember the first person 3d version in the 90s Montazuma's Return!

I think I had it on Commodore 64.
