Amazon Games has announced the establishment of a new game development studio in Montreal, Canada, which will focus on creating AAA games and create an online multiplayer title based on a new intellectual property as its first project.

The studio's founding members include head of production Luc Bouchard, creative director Xavier Marquis, head of product Alexandre Remy, and content director Romain Rimokh, who most recently worked as the core team behind the tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege.

Creative director Xavier Marquis in a statement:

Building upon eight years of experience with Siege, we are excited to start with a blank page and the creative freedom to create a completely unique experience in the multiplayer space. From our first discussion, we felt a true connection with the people at Amazon Games, their approach to gaming and the sheer amount of knowledge, expertise and technology available there. It is quite humbling and we couldn't be more excited to start a studio with them.

I hope it is a MOBA or hero shooter. Both are genres that I love but there are almost no games in either of them. The only moba that has any players is LoL and dota and I am honestly bored of both after 10 years, hero shooters is the same exact problem, either Overwatch or Paladins and I also had my fill of both. Give me a Warhammer 40k moba or hero shooter already!!
