Thread: Aloy is gay now, and that's a good thing!

I'm going to coin the name Gayloy, though I imagine lots of people will think of that one at the same time.

I was getting pretty upset that the Horizon series wasn't going far enough with its progressive politics, but they're solving that with the new Girl Power Times Two DLC. Now you can finally feel represented as a scissoring ginger!

In case they pull the video for copyright or something:

Thats not gay. No one can resist sexy Asians.

I think one of the funniest things about the game is within the context of the world building, over the time frame of everything you'd likely get some regional physical diversity amongst the various tribes, but you wouldn't necessarily get that much diversity within the tribes themselves due to all the intermarrying across numerous generations within a geographically limited gene pool.

Jokes aside wasn't that hinted at in the base game?

I could have sworn one of the female NPCs there was some heavy flirting going on. I remember thinking of course here we go with the gay. My memory is a bit hazy of the game.

I didn't play the game for the story anyways. I skipped all the cutscenes and dialogues. praise be Sony gods for allowing them to be skipped/ffwd

Why'd they make her face so fat? She looks like Jonah Hill.

In the first game, I really liked it that Aloy had no romance options. It supported the sense of urgency, it was very fitting for her rather focussed and non-BS character. I don't think she needs romance options at all tbh. But I guess we can't escape it. Next game, she identifies as Alfred I guess.

I assume the percentage of gay gamers matches the overall gay population. So, even at a very generous 10%…..WHY THE FUCK IS EVERYTHING GAY!!!!!!

I find very few characters to be gay. Probably less than 10%. Not sure how everything is gay.
Side note. I've never considered a character's sexual orientation in my enjoyment of playing a game. Like who the fuck cares?

AFAIK there weren't any romance options in the second game until this DLC dropped. In that sense, it would seem very tacked on as a way to drive more sales for a game that I sort of assume hasn't sold anywhere nearly as well as the first.

Everything is gay because they find a way to insert gay characters into every damn thing now. Like I kind of don't even really know any gay people in my life right now. I've known a few gay people in my entire life, but among the people I actively know right now in the present not one of them is gay or LGBTQIPZB+. Yet just about nearly every thing being made today inserts gay characters and makes a special point to showcase that they're a thing.

It's not fully progressive until she's kissing the robot dinosaurs.
Robosexuals and dinophiles united!

Its ironic that the game tries to be woke but all it shows is that diversity leads to warring tribes living like the stone age even though they are surrounded by the most advanced technology.

Meanwhile the all white so called evil people were masters of tech going to the stars. But when you go diverse you live in a straw hut and wear leaves as clothes.

I am sure they thought this would come off as nobel savages in tune with nature vs horrible climate killing YT. To me it just says diversity=living like a caveman.

There are gay people in every damn thing now.... So this makes sense.
Side note. I live in a town of 12k in Canada and I know a lot of gay people. I even have a post op trans neighbor. Maybe you need to get out more.
