Looks really fucking good. I've been wanting to own a 4k restoration of this movie forever. Hope it comes to streaming as well.

I rewatched Criterion Blu-ray a few years ago and it's transfer aged quite poorly. 4K restoration should be good.

One of the greats. Hopefully the restoration is good. I wasn't a fan of the 4K restoration of LotR because it smoothed everything out too much. Looks better with the grain.

I bought the Criterion collection of this years ago and still havent sit down to watch it. Maybe this weekend will be the time.

Just as long as they don't use AI to smooth out the film so it looks like a black and white soap opera, then this will be golden. I still fight with my tv to turn off that stuff when watching older films. Seems like LG resets my settings after patch updates and it isn't a great experience.
