Oh I've been waiting for Age of Mythology Definitive Edition. Definitely up there with Red Alert 2, StarCraft, Warcraft 3 and Rise of Nations.

...Retold is a weird choice of wording though.

Age of Mythology is a wonderful gem, I hope more people are able to play it. I think I'd rate it higher than AoE1 and AoE2.

Laudable, but Age of Empires is a really hard game to play well. I wouldn't want to try it with a controller.

TFW modern generations can't even manage villagers and economy in Age of Empires II.

Between Age of Empires II and Anno 1800 Consoles are getting two Masterpiece RTS.

Hope it's a turning point for more actually very good RTS games, Age of Empire likes, Command and Conquer Likes and some Sim City/Zeus/Anno likes.

LOTR BFME2 is still the benchmark for RTS on consoles, closely followed by OG halo wars and Red Alert 3. I hope AoE can raise that benchmark.
