Standard version of the Battle Pass currently costs U$9.99 for the base version, and U$29.99 for the "Blackcell" version. Fucking yikes Activision couldn't stoop any lower but they somehow managed to do it. Watch the game will still be $80 and have the battle pass on top of it

I bought a COD in 2020 and then I bought a COD in 2024. I think that's probably my last one. The camo grind wasn't even fun anymore and the monetization has gotten so obtrusive.

Those fucking squid game retards were all over the place and that's when I gave up on it. Now you have ninja turtles and fucking seth rogen running around every map, apparently. And then they come up with this idea of paid limited modes.

But Nintendo wants to charge 80 for games. Which usually don't need patching etc And everyone throws a fit. Activision want to do this and the DLC /MTX I bet the game sells the same no one will bat an eyelid.

Once my brother passed I quit buying COD. He was the only reason I kept playing it and it's sad to see what it's become. Shits an embarrassment.
 
I predicted that they'd do that back in the Activision thread or somewhere.

And I have never bought an MTX, or Battlepass, and never will. Heck, even when I get "free games" on my iPhone and then I need to spend real money to go further in the game without having to wait "x" number of hours, I just delete it when I am asked to do that.

I vote with my wallet. That said, it seems like more vote with their wallet and buy these stupid things and they keep making more MTXs.

I am all for options, and that's fine if people want to buy them. But when I spend $60+ for a game, I don't want to be inundated with pop ups, ads, messages to buy more stuff.
