Thread: A.I. Game Tech |OT| In my talons, I shape clay...
It's definitely going to be an increasingly big thing, however, I think given the tech is still embryonic at this stage and ever-evolving I think it will be a while before we start seeing it being adopted widely in the AAA space. However, I can definitely see a lot Indie Devs leveraging the tech to assist them. For instance, I could see people starting to use AI to generate voice for a lot of VN games where it might be prohibitive to try and get in Voice Actors for every role. I'm not talking about AI dynamically responding in the moment, as obviously there is some lag there, but more being able to generate audio files to ship with the game.

I like the use of AI in Mass Effect.

For some of the newer stuff like ChatGPT based voice acting integration I agree. But I wanted this to also be an overarching A.I. thread. So I even wanted it to include stuff like machine learning which has been used for a while but hasn't been super optimal until now via the same breakthroughs (and the growth of cloud computing) that's allowed the recent boom in generative A.I. driven stuff like chatGPT and (insert your favorite A.I. art generator here).

Timestamped.

Seeing what it's done for A.I. Images, text and voice so quickly I actually don't think it'll be that long before we see it being used or greatly enhancing productivity in other ways. Like the various implementations for machine learning in game dev.
