Most of the cast of "That '70s Show" is coming back for "That '90s Show" at Netflix, Variety has learned.

Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, and Wilmer Valderrama are all set to make guest appearances in the spinoff series, once again playing their characters from the original series. The only main cast member not returning is Danny Masterson, who played Hyde, as he is preparing to stand trial on multiple sexual assault allegations.

As previously announced, Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp are set to star in "That '90s Show," reprising the roles of Red and Kitty Forman. They will be joined by new cast members Ashley Aufderheide, Callie Haverda, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos.

In the new show, it's 1995 and Leia Forman (Haverda), daughter of Eric (Grace) and Donna (Prepon), is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red.

Hard to believe the 90s are almost 30 years ago. And it's a shame Danny Masterson isn't returning. I always thought he was the funniest of the cast as Hyde. But if the allegations against him are true, fuck him then.

Scan through for the OGs and disregard the rest, then forget it exist and watch the original. Job done.

Saw the Movie Bad Moms when at the doctors office lol. Its like all the hotties from the 90's grew up and became MILFs. Mila Kunis is the main star.

Might be okay as long as there's not too much focus on the new kids. They seem lame and unfunny. Red was the best part of the old show so it's good he seems to be a major focus here.

I'll check it out but will bail if the new kids suck too hard and/or get too much screen time.

The parents who are now grandparents might be too old for this shit. There's a major awkwardness in their scenes. Especially from Red. Maybe he knows this thing is trash and is just collecting the check.

So that leaves just the new rainbow kid cast and that's a big helping of who gives a fuck.

They're focusing the marketing on Red and Kitty, but you've got to think they will focus the stories on the kids. We know Red and Kitty, you can't build a sustainable show around them. Although it does seem like they're just retreading the original (dumbass boyfriend, Eric's daughter with a will-they-won't-they romance). I'll watch it regardless as I loved the original.

Does not look funny and just reminds me that the original cast was awesome and the new replacements look horrible.
#diversityisstrength Wilmer being cast as a gay hairdresser (which makes sense) is probably the biggest risk they took in the show (latino stereotype and all).

It maked me think the show is aimed at teens and I guess this is what teens relate to. Back when the original came out teens related to the geeky eric the somewhat hot red head neighboor the cool but dumb Kelso and the stoner rapist dude. So i guess Teens today relate to the teenage cast and the fans of the original time has passed you by.

Been seeing some clips with the old cast cameos and man...Donna looks terrible. That looks like drugs and/or an eating disorder going on. A real shame because she was so hot back in the day.

All the guys look like they barely aged.

Going to watch an episode tonight. I like top her grace when given a good script. The ranch was like the continuation of the 70s show for me.

Based on the trailer I'll never watch it. The moment the kids showed up I was done with it.

Maybe I was just a dumb teen when I watched the original series and it was just as stupid as this.

The case arises from allegations against Danny Masterson, a church member and a star of "That '70s Show" who faces a criminal trial on rape charges later this year. Masterson's accusers filed suit in 2019, alleging that the church had orchestrated a "Fair Game" campaign against them in retaliation for going to the LAPD, which included stalking them, hacking their emails, tapping their phones, poisoning their pets and running them off the road.

Xenu was right about Scientologists.

Also, it would be nice if Hollywood had a single original idea or concept ever again. That 70s Show was just a modernized Happy Days, so this is unoriginal even before it comes out.

"watched" the first episode. Stuff with Donna/Eric/Parents was good. Anything with the kids sucked. Nothing actually felt 90's about the kids. The original you got that 70's feel from them.

On a tangent though, there was some steep 70s nostalgia in the 90's. Like 70's are everywhere in the 90's. Its as bad as 80's in the 2000's. I don't think there is any 90's nostalgia in 2023.

Only the first episode but I don't think the kids can carry it, but I am not the target audience.

The kids in the show suck, it's really about #diversity. Oh a gay Asian! And a straight hairdresser, that doesn't exist, especially as flamboyant as Fez. I'm also the one who thinks that 90s were not like that at all, it feels way off. Early 90s was all about bright neon colours. The laughing track is on like every 2s, really irritating.
