A new "Daredevil" series is moving forward at Disney+, with Variety having exclusively learned from sources that Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.

Rumors have persisted for some time that a Disney+ series about the Man Without Fear was in the works, especially considering that two of the stars of the Netflix "Daredevil" series — Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio — have appeared in recent Marvel projects. Cox once again played Matt Murdock, the secret identity of Daredevil, in the film "Spider-Man: No Way Home," while D'Onofrio reprised the role of Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in the Disney+ series "Hawkeye."

It now appears that the project is picking up steam with the hiring of Corman and Ord, although Marvel has yet to announce anything regarding the show formally.

Reps for Corman and Ord declined to comment. Marvel Studios reps do not comment on projects in development.

Corman and Ord most famously co-created the USA Network series "Covert Affairs" starring Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. The show aired for five seasons on the basic cabler between 2010 and 2014. They most recently worked as executive producers and co-showrunners on the NBC drama shows "The Enemy Within" and "The Brave" as well as The CW series "Containment."

Oh look they're trying to save face from the disastrous reception to the She-Hulk trailer. Too little, too late. I'm pretty much done with Marvel at this point.

Jon Bernthal is returning to his most punishing role. The actor will reprise Frank Castle, aka antihero the Punisher, in Marvel Studios' Daredevil: Born Again for Disney+, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Bernthal joins Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio in the series, which begins shooting in New York this month. In a departure from other Marvel series, which come in at six or nine episodes per season, Born Again is planned as a whopping 18-episode epic. Writers and executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord are behind the show, which is expected to bow in the spring of 2024.

There's just zero reason to believe in a new season of Daredevil being good in advance. Disney can't make good shows and they're not going to suddenly learn how. The Netflix version wasn't even always great. The first season and 3rd season were both quite good, but that 2nd season wasn't all that great.

And holy shit was the 2nd season of Punisher horrific. And with Bernthal being one of the bigger hollywoke droids around, I just can't imagine even downloading that shit for free.

The pacing on that second season was so bad. Shit just dragged. It was to the point where I never bothered checking out season 3 or the Netflix Marvel stuff that followed it.

Cox wouldn't have appeared in costume until Episode 4.

You could argue he wasnt in costume the whole first season of the Netflix show until the finale. That doesn't make the show bad. That being said, I don't think Disney has any chance in hell of making this show good. Their track record over the last few years suggest that they are only capable of making garbage.

The show is Marvel's first to feature a hero who already had a successful series on Netflix, running three seasons. But sources say that Corman and Ord crafted a legal procedural that did not resemble the Netflix version, known for its action and violence. Cox didn't even show up in costume until the fourth episode. Marvel, after greenlighting the concept, found itself needing to rethink the original intention of the show.

Marvel plans to keep some scenes and episodes, though other serialized elements will be injected, with Corman and Ord becoming executive producers on the two-season series.

Amazing hoe the guys can be seemingly fired, but then still get EP roles out of it.

They need to have Daredevil die in the first episode after he finds his half black have native american lesbian daughter who also is blind and has sonar powers. Of course she will be better at everything than Matt because she watched tiktok videos. She is also a supreme court justice and suffers from racism from the other conservstive judges on the bench .

SheDevil starring Doja Cat this summer on Disney+.

The fact that we couldn't get an actual Daredevil show with the same actors without them being sidelined in a project pushing a fat crippled girlpower of indigenousness is an incredible shame. Why waste D'Onofrio like that?

It would be like getting Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine just to have him as a side character in Black Widow where he is portrayed as a giant pussy and has barely any screen time. It's pointless.
