I follow gaming news and releases daily and I'd never heard about "Unknown 9" until watching this video.

The fact that no one has heard about this game is probably the reason for the low pre-orders, not the SBI involvement.

It got heavily pushed earlier in the year when announced then later with the not E3 showcase streams, then did the rounds on social media due to the SBI involvement.

We had a thread on it here too.

I think the fact this isn't ringing a bell to you is less likely to be that you didn't see anything about it, so much as it's so painfully generic and pure modern slop, that it has zero staying power in the mind.

I'd completely forgotten about it myself until this video. It's just the kind of game that generates negative hype.

But that has nothing to do with SBI.

No amount of DEI or anti--DEI virtue signaling can save a boring, generic game from being boring and generic. Making the protagonist a big-titted MILF in a thong isn't going to make this game good.

That's the problem I have with the video. The low pre-sale numbers have little to nothing to do with SBI. The video is disingenuous at best.

As much as I hate DEI bullshit, the anti-DEI side seems to be filled with a bunch of grifters trying to make a buck (or a name for themselves) by peddling fake or inaccurate "news."

The kind of people to hire SBI are also going to put appearances and politics over merit when hiring devs, writers and managing their production.

These games are not crap and coincidentally woke, people who are woke are incompetent and thus every woke game will always be crap, and it's been obvious for long enough now that people can look at one of these games and instantly know it's going to be shit, and they'll be right.

Hogwarts Legacy is good, and it has woke injected into it. It's not woke by design but has it injected into it all over. It just happens to be well made. The difference is that they didn't turn to incompetent people to write the plot or the quests. They did a facelift on a good game, though, by giving it a hugely diverse set of NPCs that are totally out of place in this game, a so-called transgender woman barkeeper, and a plethora of other annoying things.

Spider-man 2 also says Hi!

Pretty good games that are hijacked for wokies.

Other games don't fare nearly as well because of DEI hiring practices.

It would be nice if that were the case and they publically announced they were taking the altered content out of the DQIII remake but I'm not holding my breath. I think if that game underperforms in Japan, they'll really start to evaluate if appealing to the retards is worth it.

From what I could make out from that pseudo intellectual babble this freak is spouting, it seems he's giving a pass to Mel Brooks for Blazing Saddles and a fail to Quentin Tarantino for Django Unchained. Apparently because Mel was able to work with black comedians like Richard Pryor in writing the script, whereas Quentin did it all himself without a care in the world.

So yeah, all this mutant is saying is that black people like him have dibs on black stories and that only he has the right to tell it. Which is BULLSHIT and will hamper any real writer. Fuck this idiot.

Very true. There's only a handful of channels I can find tolerable and I mostly watch to simply be aware of what the narrative is.

IMO it's so easy to avoid woke stuff, it's not as far reaching in gaming as some people make it out to be, just with AAA and major publishers. I don't buy anything woke and I am never at a loss for something to play. Once you break free of the AAA FOMO and chart your own course, you quickly learn that you're not missing out on anything. If anything, you're having a better time than 90% of gamers, and you're also supporting smaller studios who are trying their best to make games that people say they want.

Side Scrollers and Madam Savvy did a great live dig on this story and some other SBI connections, notably to Ubisoft, in the second half of their show yesterday. The Bowser shit is weak outrage bait, tbh. This woman was exposed months if not years ago. She will just handwave it away and anyone working with SBI will ignore it.

The sheer scale of the corruption, however, is off the charts and the rabbit hole is deeper than many people likely imagined. I don't think there's any saving many of these AAA companies tbh, they need to be burned to the ground and customers really need to start wising up to where their money is going and what they are actually indirectly supporting when they buy a video game in 2024.



Last hour is well worth watching if you want an idea of how bad this really is.
